Hotel Simfony Alor

Good modern hotel to rest before a liveaboard adventure. The roof Bar Terrace is great for sunset chilling with a Bintang.

Breakfast could be improved but it was good for Indo standards.

I like the rooftop it’s very breathtaking and the food up there if wonderful.

Many blood stains on the bed sheets, which is scary! The amenities is minimum, the towels needs to be replaced. Breakfast presentations was not the best. I booked a free airport shuttle provided by the hotel and leaves at 8am’o. I arrived at 7.30am in the lobby, the receptionist guy was telling me to relax until 8’o. But when I got back to the reception, the receptionist confuses me and said that the shuttle has left at 7am over sending foreigner tourist! What a loser, leaving me stranded and no option but to book a random motor taxi nearby with all my luggage. Unreliable! The room that I got were super noisy from the road too

Good breakfast options with convenient hours.

Great location with friendly and helpful staff, especially Receptionist Dommi. He is always there to help with a smile. My room had a wonderful view of the Bay. I came for the Pesona Tenun (Weaving) Festival and was wonderfully surprised to have the opening parade at the doorstep of the hotel! There are plenty of food around the hotel with the traditional market right next to it. There are a few ATMs and banks near the hotel when you run out of cash. Note that most places here only accept cash.

Apart from the 'ojek' or motorcycle ride, there are no taxis for hire. Motorcycles may not be able to take you to some of the places and you have to rent a few for a group. I was told at the end of my trip that I could rent a car by the hour. This is useful information for my next trip there!
