The Salutation Inn

The location was perfect for us as we had an event in the village. We had an enquiry about the parking which answered promptly. The building fits in the surroundings beautifully and the decor is very welcoming and stylish. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable large bed. The bathroom very clean and contemporary with a lovely powerful shower. We decided to have the cooked breakfast which is ordered the day before but there is a lovely kitchen area near the bedrooms which you can help yourself to cereals, bread and tea and coffee. The breakfast was served in the conservatory which was beautiful. All ingredients beautifully presented and cooked and served by a waiter who was professional and took the trouble to have a little chat.

Whilst I loved the kitchen next door to the bedrooms for tea/coffee etc, I would always prefer not to have to go out of the bedroom for my morning cuppa. Dressing gowns are provided but still, if it was up to my husband we would have had to wait until we went down for breakfast. He would not have gone out of the room. Not a deal breaker, just a preference.

Self service galley breakfast worked well. Appreciated the robes to use when in the galley etc

Parking was an issue when we arrived but the staff quickly sorted it
