Yuzawa Hotel New Fukudaya-ski in ski out

The location is a two-minute walk from Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Area. There is a yakiniku restaurant less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel but it's overrun by Chinese customers and you should expect a 2 hour wait to get in.

There was never a staff member at the front desk, to be honest I don't even know who was the staff except for the Chinese lady who gave us our key on the day we checked in. The building is extremely run down and not worth the price we paid for our room. Also it was a real disappointment for the price we paid no breakfast was provided. Bedding and couches were in rough shape and the bathtub was stained brown. I stayed here about 7 years ago when it was owned and run by a really nice Japanese family. In the last year it has been taken over by a Chinese company and they have turned it into more of a backpackers with rooms. We were the only non-Chinese guest in the entire hotel and were given the cold shoulder during our stay. I never imagined things would change so much after the ownership changed. We will never stay here again.
