Stone Wall Cottage

Amazing place to stay. The cottage had everything we needed and very comfortable. Sandra was lovely and very welcoming. Being able to bring our dog was an added bonus!

The decor, the stone walls in the cottage the log burner, the stable door the really comfy bed the cosy feeling of the place and of course the host Sandra a really gem in the countryside

I loved the location and the cottage. It was easily accessible and warm. Only a few minutes drive to Newcastle and beautiful hiking trails. The owners were also lovely, advising on hikes and managing to make me feel welcome without being intrusive. A lovely and quiet stay to recharge.

It was so cosy and clean and close to lots of forest parks for the dogs and it was quiet

Perfect little cottage situated right between Newcastle and Castlewellan, with Mourne mountains and Tollymore forest a stones throw away - so much to do here! Alexandra and Eric greeted us and were lovely and helpful. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in… and the property had most amenities you’d need for a few days stay, along with Netflix, Prime etc to pass the time in the evenings! we loved the fire also and logs/firelighters provided. Good responses from Alexandra. Bonus for the dogs and farm animals!

Literally the only thing we could think of that this property needs is a wee freezer, we had brought some things we needed to cool but it took quite a few hours to cool in the fridge. Everything else is perfect.
