Trinh and her family were amazing and attentive. Our room was clean and perfect. Location was perfect.

The location was good, really close to the old quarter.

We arrived and wanted to check in after a very long, draining bus ride. They were late and said we couldn’t check in yet. So we checked in 2 hours later, booked two nights with balcony. Only after that she told us we had to switch rooms because there’s like an overbooking. We were like not great but no worries. We then got a much smaller room with no balcony and only a small window which you couldn’t open. It had a cockroach in it also. All in all not the best start but the family was still lovely. On our second morning we noticed that someone went into our room. We checked for all our belongings and are positive that we were missing around 200€ cash. We told the family, but of course we can’t prove anything and they denied it. After that we weren’t happy so we checked out, only to find out they didn’t even give us a discount for the downgrade of our room, we even had to pay more than it was on booking.com. Oh and don’t expect breakfast when you book over this site. We had it included and the owner was like oh that’s inconvenient, usually don’t over breakfast. So we just went someplace else. All in all i think it was just bad luck with all of it adding up but we were not happy with this stay.

Trinh was amazing. She helped us in so many ways from booking tours for us, making suggestions and sewing multiple outfits for the four of us. We wondered if she ever slept? We all want to return to her homestay. Nice breakfast, comfortable room, mostly it feels like you're part of the family. It was our favourite place during our one month trip in Vietnam.

The hostess was lovely and very helpful. She also provided a wonderful breakfast. However, the family room we booked for the three of us was disappointing. It was so small that the 2 beds were pushed together and still there was hardly room for walking. The shower had little water pressure and was just in the corner of the bathroom without a curtain so water got everywhere. It took a long time for the water to get hot, and the sink did not have hot water at all. Considering what we paid, perhaps we expected too much. The location was good and the room was clean.

Everything was perfect! The family is one of the kindest I’ve met travelling in whole SEA. Trinh and her family are so friendly and helpful. She even tailored me a great outfit!
