Coconut Tree House

Un excellent rapport qualité prix, des logements super, avec une douche à l'extérieur (eau chaude) que j'ai beaucoup aimé. La piscine est propre et appréciable. Le lieu est calme (beaucoup d'oiseaux et chauve-souris le soir). Si j'avais eu plus de temps j'y serais resté quelques jours de plus.

Je me suis renseigné sur les tarifs pour un safari organisé par l'hébergement mais j'ai finalement réservé avec une autre agence. Cela n'a pas vraiment plu au gérant par message, mais cela n'a pas impacté mon séjour et le gérant a été très courtois et agréable à notre arrivée

Nicely situted house - in the middle of the forest. Very nice terrace to chill, good Air Conditioning and a welcome drink after arrival. Safari was also well organized, there are many options to choose from private to group safari, different duration ect. The dinner (extra paid) was very good and big. Breakfast to compare to other Homestay was not great, but still ok. I didnt have much exchange with the family beside the organizational things but they were very friendly and helpfull when needed.

The wi-fi was not working well but that was not a problem as there was a good time to chill :)

Really familiar and cute, for the money it’s totally worth it to go there! And the dinner was amazing, one of the best meals in Sri Lanka we had. The safari was also amazing, recommend to book it directly at the property!!

Great stay in Udawalawe. Very comfortable house in quit location. Dim and his wife make you feel welcome. With good food and they arrange a great safari.

Accommodation: We loved the place that Dim provided us. It's a cosy hut in the forest. There will be plenty of jungle sounds around. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were delicious. We dined in a beautiful ambience at their house. The garden is decorated with many colourful lampions. Dim and his wife are very accomodating and care for their guests. In the morning they cooked an extra dish for our Baby. Safari: We booked the Safari for Uda Walawe Park trough Dim. He brought us together with our driver Sudumu. He is a sympathic and relaxed guy. With the vehicle he brought us quite close to the elephants. We were lucky that day to observe numerous elephants and even a few groups of elephants also with babies. He shares his knowledge about elephants and the other animals that live in the park. He also identified birds, amongst others, three types of eagles, and he gave us a book that helped to determine the birds and various other animals of the park. We would definitely do the tour with him again. Thank You Dim & Sudumu.

The stay in this place was magical. The cottage is located in a small jungle. Thanks to this we have privacy, peace and quiet. The cottage is clean, with air conditioning. The stay there charged our batteries and gave us a moment of respite from the noisy tourist places. From the cottage we have a 1 minute walk to the main hotel building. In the main building our host prepared us great Sri Lankan food. He is a wonderful, smiling and humorous man with a fantastic family. We decided to go on a safari, which he helped us organize. As promised, our guide spoke good English and was able to spot animals that we would not have noticed ourselves. We highly recommend this place!

- Dim is a great host. he was very friendly and very supportive! He offers Safari packages but was very flexible to our requirements (e.g. remove dinner from package and give a discount) - We had a Safari with their local guide (Sumuru) and he was great. we saw many elephants, crocodiles and many different kind of birds. He explained very well in English and even provided us with a book of the animals and binoculars. - The private outside shower was great! Water coming down from a small rock, like standing bellow a waterfall. - Very cheap accomodations because you should buy their safari tour, which is to be expected!
