DEDas Service-Personal (mit Ausnahme der Rezeption) war sehr nett und zuvorkommend, teilweise aber auch anstrengend, weil bspw. im Restaurant 4 Mitarbeitende um einen herum standen und abwechselnd fragten, ob alles gut sei. Die Räume sind sauber, großzügig und gut ausgestattet. Das angeschlossene Restaurant ist auch sehr gut.
Leider ist Schlaf Glückssache in diesem Hotel. Wir waren erst in Zimmer 116, das eirklich genau an der Terrassenbar liegt. Laute Musik bis nach Mitternacht, laute Aufräumarbeiten und Gespräche waren bis nach Mitternacht üblich. Nach längerer Diskussion sind wir dann in Zimmer 118 umgezogen, wo es nachts leider genauso laut war. Dieses Mal war es der Lärm des hauseigenen Nachtklubs, bis 5 Uhr morgens. Leider scheint das Problem schon länger bekannt zu sein, wenn man die Erfahrungsberichte liest. Das Personal an der Rezeption reagiert leider gar nicht oder nur sehr unfreundlich. Auch uns wurde von "corrective actions" (siehe Antworten des Hotels auf ältere Bewertungen) erzählt, auf Nachfrage, was geändert wird, haben wir jedoch keine Antwort erhalten. Ich bin sicher nicht lärmempfindlich und feiere selbst gerne, aber so etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Fazit: Der Betreiber sollte sich entscheiden, ob er ein Hotel oder eine Party-Location führen möchte. Beides klappt nicht! Ich rate schweren Herzens von einem Besuch dieses Hotels ab.
GBA beautiful old property, lovely rooftop bar and amazing, very helpful staff. The rooms were cleaned regularly. The restaurant was also great.
I was put in a smoking room which as a none smoker smelt disgusting, this room was also dirty. I was able to be moved to the none smoking floor after the first night which was much better, but I don’t think people should be put in these rooms without it being checked if they are actually smokers. It smelled of staid smoke but also had smoke from other rooms on the floor wafting in. Also, there is a very loud night club in the hotel which is open some nights. Ear plugs just about helped drown it out for me but friends in other rooms had it worse.

The cleaning service trolley was stationed outside our room (200) so the conversations of cleaning staff disturbed us. I think they should only let this room when hotel is full. Also no natural light in this room.
