"Staff training in policy communication"

The place is beautiful, quiet and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The view from my room was amazing .I had a very good conversation with the hotel manager who I had requested to talk to after an unpleasant encounter. He was very attentive and understood my concern.

A friend came to drop off some funds to my room. As soon as we got to the room the phone rung.and I would be charged extra because I reserved the room as single occupancy .I explained that he was just dropping off something sensitive and not spending the night. I asked if I would be charged extra if my sister brought me something to the room without spending the night,,and I was told yes!I was shocked as I have never heard anything like that from any hotel I have ever stayed in and it left a very sour taste in my mouth amd erased all the wonderful things that the hotel offers.

"Was OK to begin with then Bahari staff poor customer services destroyed the experience for us"

The ocean view was lovely. The food was good.

We miscalculated the dates for our departure and we were one day short. I alerted Bahari staff at the Reception 10 days before our last day that we needed to extend our stay by one day as we had miscalculated the flight departure date. They told me this was not a problem, there was a room available but they will have to move us from our current room to another different one. This was fine by us as long as we had somewhere to spend the night. I asked if I could pay there and then for the extra day, they advised, No need, I will pay on the day hey move us. Fast forward, on the eve of the day we were to be moved to the other hotel room, I approached the Reception and reminded them of our discussion around the move to the other room. I asked if they now knew which room and whether I should now pay? To my shock, they told me they didnt have such details in the system about me and that our check out date was still 19th Nov and they were fully booked! I initially thought they are kidding, but I quickly noticed they were dead serious! I reminded them about the date and time they had advised about the other room we could have, they just looked back blankly. I remembered 2 ladies that were there when we were promised the other room but they pretended not to remember such a conversation! I was shocked! The check out was in the morning and we didnt have any hotel room to go to, to make matters worse, every hotel we tried to book was fully booked! The following morning, we got our bags ready for checkout at 10am. We were rushed out. The porter had overheard our conversations and approached one of the staff about resolving the matter, thats when someone told us there was a room available but for thrice the standard price. The Bahari hotel staff displayed; Lack of due diligence, poor communication, poor customer service, lack of safe guarding by leaving us stranded. Lack of accountability, dishonesty - they lied, They didnt care about us, we were just a number to them! Very sad!

Some guests commandeering poolside beds days in advance. Bathroom of room 245 - shower edging not sealed caused lot of water on floor.
