Casa dei Cherubini

Location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station. Everything clean and bed was comfortable. Nice to have outside space in Lucca, though it was North facing. Loved the terrazzo floors. Nice shower.

The kitchen is not very functional for cooking. Very basic equipment and no utensils . No chopping knife (I left one there) or board to cut on. The wall units have vertical hinges so you have to hold them up and can only use one hand to get things in and out, quite ridiculous. The oven did not work. OK if you are able to eat out every day, but we could not. Please also be aware that you will receive a nasty message from the owners (with photos) if you 1) leave a scrap of food in the dishwasher cutlery sieve 2) spill something on the hob which you do not clean off, and I mean dismantle the burner and check the collecting vessel beneath. 3) leave the underside of the toilet seat dirty 4) have an "accident' in the bidet 5) have to remove the wall panel so that you are able to flush the toilet properly and not have a continuous flush for hours because the button sticks. The message left me feeling humiliated, embarrassed and upset. I thought we had left the place clean and tidy. I holiday frequently and have never been spoken to like this before.

Great location, spotlessly clean and plenty of space. Hosts reply really quickly to any questions.

Could benefit from a couple of cushions for the couch and more kitchen knives.

Very clean, we felt very much at home during our stay. Because of the central location of this appartement in Lucca everything was within walking distance. And the third place-Winner of the Pizza World Championship 2023 only 500m away. We had a very cool time in Lucca and during our stay in Casa dei Cherubini.

There was a construction site on the Street around the corner, so sleeping long during the week was not possible, but everything else was fine.

The location was central. The beds were comfortable and the room was cool from the hot weather.

the only comment was as the bedroom was at street level there was no ‘sheer ‘curtain for privacy unless you closed the window shutter .
