Merzouga Lovely Luxury Camp

The most beautiful people we have met in Morocco work at this place! We had a magical couple of days during our stay! Mustapha, Ahmed and Bob Marley (and the others) are the best hearted people in the desert! They made us feel comfortable and almost like family! If you choose to go to this place, stay 2 nights at least to get the real sahara experience!

We went to the camp to have a good time. The location is spectacular, with dunes that stretched out. It's also the little things that set this experience apart... the meals were really tasty. We did camel riding and dune driving, and they were good. The staff was always welcoming and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay.

Feels like a real home away from home. Staff so friendly and caring, and ready to assist and manage any need or experience. Each tent has a private bathroom, and the food was delicious. Being able to sit outside in front of the tents made enjoying warm summer nights.

Communication was great. Good instructions to the office in Merzouga, where we were able to leave our car in the secure compound, then we were whisked over the dunes in a 4x4 to our tented camp (you can elect to travel by camel to the tent if you prefer). The tents were beautifully designed and well equipped, the communal in/outdoor spaces were ideal and the camp felt quite secluded due to high dunes either side of it. We stayed for 2 nights, enjoying our magical surroundings and sand-boarding, relaxing with books in the shade and then enjoying a fantastic adrenalin fuelled sunset buggy ride. The camp staff were so very kind, fun and helpful, they even drummed and sang Happy Birthday to my daughter - a very special and highly memorable stay.

The location is amazing, is was an experience to sleep in the desert specially when we faced a sandstorm upon arrival and had the most amazing sunset one hour later. Dinner was magical, the camp is decorated with small lights, Breakfast was lovely and well served. The camp was not too big so not a large number of guest, made it very personal. I spent an unforgettable night at erg chebbi luxury tents, and it was an exceptional experience by all standards. Starting from the moment of my arrival and the warm welcome from the friendly team, to the moment I go to sleep under the stunning desert sky. Comfortable clean beds with amazing decoration food was delicious, I really enjoyed the night 100%recommended

The hospitality at this camp is unmatched. The host was so patient and understanding when we arrived late and had some confusion. He waited for us with a smile and explained everything thoroughly, putting us at ease. Dinner was phenomenal—a 5-course feast with incredible flavors. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and breakfast was just as impressive. The egg tagine was the highlight; it’s a must-try and should be their signature dish! A perfect stay in every way.

The trip to/from the camp is done in two parts. From town a 4 wheel drive auto takes you into the edge of the Sahara to a point to meet the camels. Then the trip continues on the camels. The total time to reach the camp takes a bit over one hour. The sunrise was great. The food is good and delicious The staff was also good. After dinner they entertained with a musical display of their drumming abilities next to an open outdoor bonfire. 🐫 🏜️

I loved experiencing desert camping for the first time, activities in the camp were entertaining, from playing music around the fire to sitting quietly looking up at the stars. The staff were also friendly and welcoming.

Riding camels through the dunes to the camp was good. Upon our arrival at the camp, we were welcomed warmly and allowed to settle in before, the meal included several courses. After dinner, the team got out the drums and played traditional rhythms around the fire, we all just sat back and enjoyed it. While it was a brief stay, it was special.
