Very large room and bathroom. Lovely private veranda. Opulent decoration of room. Posing peacocks and springboks in extensive gardens. Fantastic views. Nice cold selection at breakfast. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Lovely large room but needed a dressing table with good lighting, tea/coffee station was on top on the fridge and very cramped, no lighting in hallway, while large walk in closet, for short stays needs a stand to put suitcase on. Would benefit from other choices for hot breakfast for longer stays

We got a FREE upgrade ! Wonderful. There are lots of animals on the premises. Springbok and peacocks. Just delightful. Exceptional stay at a very affordable price. The breakfasts was especially good.

The access road was a bit washed out from the rain. That is all i can fault. Very good service was received the whole time.

A memorable escape in the heart of the Devon Valley! We spent three blissful nights in the Dutchess room at Heerenhuys and loved every moment. The room itself is a dream - generously sized, tastefully decorated with elegant Dutch touches, and equipped with a pristine en-suite bathroom. Evenings were spent unwinding in the cozy guest lounge, where a crackling fireplace turned cool valley nights into pure comfort. Mornings began with Didi’s exceptional breakfast: fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with local flavours - an experience in its own right. Our warm-hearted host, Nynke greeted us like old friends, ensuring we had everything we needed. From start to finish, Heerenhuys delivered on charm, comfort, and genuine hospitality. We left feeling refreshed, thoroughly pampered, and already planning our return. Highly recommended!
