We absolutely loved everything at the Heerenhuys. It is a beautiful guesthouse on a farm, magnificent view with spacious rooms and living areas. The hosts are really amazing, super friendly and helpful and do everything to make you feel at home. Staff are super friendly with an exceptional breakfast served every morning. This is a real gem of a place with the owners giving it a special touch, their hospitality is simply just unmatched.We loved our stay and would highly recommend it!

What a wonderful find - beautiful farmhouse with fabulous decor thanks to the artistic vision of Nynke and Ernst. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, with amazing common areas whether that be the pool, terrace or living room. Super friendly hosts, relaxed atmosphere and awesome breakfast! The property is located outside of town set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by fields but only a short taxi ride into Stellenbosch. Highly recommend

We loved everything at Die Heerenhuys. This place is a little paradise and perfectly located to visit the wine region. The hosts are amazing and do their utmost to make you feel at home and to help you discover the best places around. The house is simply beautiful, decorated with taste and surrounded by nature. The breakfast is fantastic and very diverse - simply the best we had in South Africa. . Thank you Nynke and team for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back ;)

The entrance after passing the gate is beautiful, with luck one can see 4 springboks and some peacocks, via the beautiful garden the road goes upwards. Once above a breathtaking view over the valley. Very friendly staff and tasteful interior. The rooms are spacious and clean, but to our tasting a little to much black, however very well done including the bathroom. Breakfast we liked, fresh fruits etc no complaints whatsoever. The dutch couple who run the place are friendly and helpfull.

In the room we had the guests next door could walk over our porch which effected our feeling of privacy. (This room had wndows on 3 sides, beautiful for the view by the way).After mentioning this to the owner he moved some plants to block this but still the guests would walk by.

I had the absolute pleasure of spending several nights at Die Heerenhuys, a unique lodge near Stellenbosch, and I must say: it is a true hidden gem! Never before have I been welcomed so warmly and genuinely. The owners have mastered the art of creating an incredibly relaxed and inviting atmosphere, making your stay unforgettable. It feels like visiting longtime friends – all while enjoying the comforts of a high-end lodge that leaves nothing to be desired. The breakfast is simply exceptional. Everything you could wish for is provided, accompanied by breathtaking views of the three-hectare, nature-protected property. The frequent visits from wildlife make the experience even more magical and emphasize the connection to nature. The rooms at Die Heerenhuys are spacious and showcase one of the most stunning combinations of modern architecture and tasteful design I’ve seen in a long time. While the lodge is not located directly in Stellenbosch, it is the perfect base to explore the region’s many wineries, whether by car or Uber. All in all, this was one of the best stays I’ve had in years. I would like to sincerely thank the owners for their exceptional hospitality. I will most definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend Die Heerenhuys to anyone seeking the perfect blend of luxury, nature, and warmth.

Owners and staff are great! Beautifully decorated rooms. Breakfast is fantastic. In the middle of the wine district. Loved it.
