"I would stay there again, the room was nice a big by Japan standards."

Location was great it was easy to find the baths were nice (modern and pool-like tiled bathing, not natural looking pools) Nice area, wish I tried a few of the nearby restaurants

"The essence of old Kyoto and a modern hotel"

The old converted tearoom was so cool to explore and have our daily coffee in. As well the included spa access was amazing to have after days of walking

Het authentieke historische gebouw wordt gebruikt als ontvangst- en ontbijtruimte, wat meteen zorgt voor een unieke Japanse sfeer. De kamers zijn mooi ingericht, praktisch en voorzien van alle comfort. Na een drukke dag was het heerlijk ontspannen in de onsen, met aparte baden voor mannen en vrouwen. Het personeel is vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gastvrij. Al bij al een zeer aangenaam verblijf op een uitstekende locatie. Een aanrader voor wie Kyoto wil ontdekken in een authentieke en ontspannen sfeer. 🇯🇵✨

Het enige minpuntje vonden wij het ontbijt. Er is geen buffet, maar een vooraf samengestelde ontbijtbox die mooi wordt gepresenteerd. Alles was vers en verzorgd, maar we misten wat keuzevrijheid en vonden het ontbreken van boter bij het brood wat vreemd.

Good location, friendly staff, we were able to get into the room early which was a bonus

The space in the room was really limited, we knew it would be small but it was a struggle. There is no real lobby/breakout area which we missed. We used the hotel as a base to explore from so this is what we needed but if you're looking for a place to relax we found this wasn't suitable for that
