"Extremely underwhelming"

Communication with the owner was not satisfactory. Tv and wifi not working. We contacted the owner and never heard back. The free parking is off site at an Aldi car park and we had to pay when leaving.

The layout of the apartment was great and everything in there was easy to find

The directions to find the apartment weren't the best so it was a bit awkward to find. There was no WiFi even though it was advertised that there would be

"Disappointing. The external is grotty. The apartment is clean but very shabby."

5.0

Confirmation of the booking came very late from the property. I made contact directly on three occasions as time was coming close to the trip. This was frustrating. The property is clean but very shabby. Also an eircode would be more convenient to find the property. I did txt the property to ask but didn't get a reply, no surprise there. It doesn't overlook the city centre. On the plus we met lovely neighbours.

"Horrendous - this property should not be on booking.com."

1.0

There is nothing to like about this property - I cannot believe that this property is on booking.com - I can safely say it was horrendous.

The apartment was situated in a filthy, rundown and neglected complex- the complex was like a tenement- do not book it. We paid 189€. The entrance was through a black gate and into a courtyard- which was full of rubbish, untidy and extremely unkempt - this complex needs to be gutted. The lift wasn’t working and the stairwells were filthy my guess is that they had not been painted in years- one door to the stairs was held open by a fire extinguisher. The apartment was dirty generally- the front glass panels were broken ( this is the case for over a year as previous reviews mention it). The kitchen was poorly equipped- cups dirty, very few utensils, two small saucepans, no kettle, blinds dirty, filthy windows, kitchen presses falling apart and very poorly painted. The hob was dirty and greasy and the oven was filthy- there is no way you could use it. The sitting area had no blinds - the sofas were old and should be put in a skip. No terrestrial tv channels. General living space filthy. Both bathrooms had mould and black around the grouting of the tiles and the shower sealant had black mould. Behind the sink pedestals was layers of dirt and grime. There were no sink stoppers. The whole apartment had a dank smell. I cannot understand how this apartment is on booking.com - it’s an absolute tip and needs a complete make over - in fact the whole complex needs a drastic overhaul - my advice is don’t stay here- I booked this in a hurry and only read a few reviews - I thought surely it can’t be that bad- believe me it’s worse !!!

"Avoid at all costs (pun intended)"

1.0

This is a short list; the decent view over the town and the surprisingly comfortable bed.

Of our 13 days spent in Eire this was, by some considerable margin, the worse and, conversely, the most expensive night of our tour. I believe that I am widely regarded as having a positive attitude to life. The experience of staying here put that attitude very much to the test. From the inaccuracies in the arrival instructions of how to find the apartment, to gaining access to the compound, through battling through the unkempt and dirty grounds of the rabbit-warrenesque estate (admittedly this was beyond the control of the host), the out of order lift, and then being confronted by the decrepit apartment itself, ours was not a happy stay. Gaining access through a shoddy front door (complete with broken glass), we entered the surprisingly spacious and light apartment. On closer inspection though all was not well. The overall impression was of an austere and badly maintained dwelling, with little to break up the monotony and starkness of the decor. So many areas displayed, at best, poor maintenance that I will highlight just a few; kitchen units falling apart, damaged/marked flooring, stained dining chairs, no standard lamps anywhere, missing mirror, missing curtains/blinds and basin plugs, very limited and mismatched crockery, glassware and pots/pans, beaten up storage heaters, bare walls throughout, wifi inoperable, mould in en-suite shower-room whilst the main shower-room reeked of damp/mould. Oh, and the free parking was some distance away from the property. And for this we paid over £160 for one night to Booking.com. Hardly good value for money, any monies irrespective of currency.

"We only slept there and it was inadequate for anything else"

2.0

Near the city centre and good Wifi

The flat was in a building that looked derelict with rubbish strewn around the grounds and the lift not working. The front door had cracked glass and the TV had no electric or TV connections. The whole flat was in need of refurbishment and there was little in the way of kitchen equipment.
