Overlooking city centre apt

Garbage in walkways and garden . Access via stairs bit scary

Very disappointed overall

Furniture was old, beds were lumpy, water was cold and wouldn’t heat like we were told. Door was scratched and had cracked glass.

Surrounding areas are very poor and dirty, would feel unsafe if out at night

Difficult to find. Lots of steps to get to the property which was extremely difficult for partner with slightly limited mobility. On getting to the lift to get to the second floor the lift was broken and by the state of the 'not operating' sign it has been broken a long time. We could not stay at the property because of impossible access.

The apartment is close to the river, and the Waterford sights. You can easily walk around the town from the apartment. Parking was very easy and complimentary with the apartment.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable, the springs are nearly dead. The doors for the bathrooms sounds like a horror movie and squeak horribly. They desperately need oiling. The complex itself is a little worn down and need of TLC.

The location was good in that it was an easy walk to shops and Waterford's historic sights/ crystal factory etc. The apartment block itself was in a rather decrepit state, not well maintained. However, once inside the apartment we felt secure and content. We living area was a great vantage point to view the city, the lights were quite pretty at night too. Beds were comfortable, and the ensuite was a bonus.

The apartment had a feeling of emptiness about it - very little decor, and no curtains on some of the windows. A curtain for the glass-inset front door would be appreciated, passers-by on the landing can currently look right up the entry hallway into the living area. The kitchen was sub-standard; many necessary cooking items were not provided (only one saucepan, no baking trays, very few utensils, no sink plug etc. etc.) This was a problem for us, arriving and expecting to be able to cook effectively in the kitchen. This apartment has loads of potential - a moderate investment in some interior decorating and kitchen basics would bring a huge improvement.

Booking.com need to look at this place. In Australia we would call it public housing.

Great location. An early check in was accommodated, someone met us by the lock boxes with a key for the apartment.

The glass in the front door was broken, making us feel a bit unsafe. The beds were like sleeping on springs and pillows were lumpy. We were only provided two bath towels and had a reservation for 3 adults.
