Dar Swiar

It was in a quiet part of the medina. There is a sweet cat with her kittens who lives on the rooftop with sweeping views. She does look so sknny that we bought food at a restaurant for her. The decor is very Moroccan and is well-appointed.

The bathroom is a little quirky---the shower curtain is installed a whole foot higher than it has to be so the hem hangs about 25-30 cm off the floor and water gets everywhere.

My stay in Dar Swiar was literally amazing. The location, surroundings, cleanliness, facilities as well as the cost were all perfect and exceeded my expectations. Furthermore, the behaviour of the host, Saad, is fantastic and he really knows how to treat his guests gently and professionally. I have decided with my wife to revisit Chefchaouene next year and our stay will definitely be in Dar Swiar.

The dar is literally in the heart of the medina. The room was amazingly comfortable and the staff was just great helping us with all our needs!

Helpful host, a neat looking hotel in the medina. Views from the terrace. Slightly more comfortable bed than the typical way-too-firm mattress of Morocco. Room was mostly clean.

Climbing the stairs to the hotel with all of our luggage was challenging...perhaps you can contact the host and ask for their help. Then climbing the narrow and steep stairs to our room was a bit challenging, but thankfully the host helped us. There was some noise from a couple people yelling on the street below in the middle of the night; it didn't last long though. We were offered some tap water, which we asked if it was safe to drink, and were told it was. We know better from our other travels--we should not have had any...we have been sick for the past day and a half.

Room was larger than expected and immaculately clean! Location is perfect, we got dropped off by a taxi then walked up some stairs as cars aren’t permitted in the Medina. The host Saad was so hospitable and friendly - would recommend this to anyone!

very good , everything is perfect!

Location was wonderful - in the medina but close to the main road for very easy access. It is a very quiet location, but is a short walk to the main square. The apartment was very nice, plenty of hot water and the bed was very comfortable. Saad was extremely welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
