Breakfast was beyond our expectations — absolutely delicious and satisfying. The menu, including both food and drinks, is reasonably priced, with presentation and taste worthy of five stars. The king-size bed was the most comfortable we’ve experienced — and we’ve stayed at many places! The staff were humble, polite, and attentive throughout our stay. If you're looking for peace, quiet, and true tranquility, this hotel is the perfect home away from home.

Despite the surprise of staying in a retirement type estate - we loved the quietness, the beautiful surroundings and the rooms were comfortable.

We were not aware that it was part of a retirement home etc but once we settled it was fine as we hardly every around much as we out a lot. At times waitresses were not aware of the fact we were guests and we were charged for breakfasts when it was included in the room rate paid in advance. But we resolved it before we left in some manner. It would be good if more plugs and cell phone charger points were available next to the beds, as is the trend and convenience in most modern upmarket hotels or boutique venues.

The bar and restaurant closed at 17.00 this was limiting if you were not planning on going out

The house is fantastic and so are the reception, security and cleaning staff

The location isn't grate, unless you have a car and unfortunately the cooked breakfast was terrible. We gave them 3 attempts at it, I told them exactly what the problem was, still no improvement. It's a complete shame about the restaurant as the dinner was outstanding, it was a different cook,unfortunately to add to the problem the bar/ restaurant closed mostly at 17.00.
