Loch Erisort House

Loch Erisort Hotel is located in a remote area, so peaceful, with a gorgeous view down over pastures to the loch- and we even saw a white-tailed eagle from the dining room. Don't be put off by this being an older-style hotel; it may have been a travellers' rest inn in its past life, but the welcome we got from our hosts was so warm and the food wonderful. I would recommend anyone staying here to pre-book their evening meal as it is not near any alternative restaurants, and it was lovely to have a very yummy 3 course 'home-cooked' style meal there. Breakfast was a full English breakfast and beautifully cooked and presented. The shower was lovely and hot with good pressure, the bathroom modernised (we had a disabled-friendly room). Beds comfortable. Wifi great and secure.

Elaine and Scott made us very welcome when we arrived and throughout our stay. They were both very friendly and took time to talk to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We liked the location because it was remote, quite and beautiful, and was central to several thing. It was a short drive from Stornoway, close to some of the sights we wanted to see, and a quick shot to Tarbert for the ferry back. The staff was polite and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful room—very comfortable. Welcoming hosts -friendly..overall the food was good.

Inadequate coathangers no towel rail. No drinking water in room. Breakfast limited choice-no fruit. If you had cereal you could not have cooked breakfast. Timing 7-8 no possibility of having a longer stay in bed. Evening meal no choice but was enjoyable. No directions how to find the hotel.

great hotel, amazing location but more importantly really really nice people. the hosts were super accommodating to our needs as cyclists, with great communication throughout with care and patience. they also went out of their way to help with our onward journey.

all was perfect

We were only on a short stopover at the Loch Erisort Inn. So we didn't get to enjoy the special, wide view over the loch in the evening and in the morning in the dark we had a very early start. A hot breakfast at a very early hour was no problem for the pleasant and motivated hosts. In advance of our stay we received advice and questions about dinner. I can highly recommend this, great price. With the family at one table ... and very tasty! Humorous conversations. We were only there for a very short time, but felt very comfortable.
