The place is located near restaurants and the promenade. It is a walking distance to V&A waterfront and the Mojo market. The room is very clean and has basic supplies to make one's stay comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and always respond on time.

Very quiet area with very friendly hosts. Your accommodation is a guest room connected to the main house. It is very well equipped and very comfortable. There is zero road noise. I appreciated Cornelis providing me a plug convertor for my stay. Shower and internet was great. Excellent security. I will make it my first choice when I come back to Cape Town in 2026!

Everything here is minor so please don't let them distract you from an excellent stay. The tight check-in window was stressful so I'm uncertain if it was a mistake, a nice to have or I was an inconvenience to the family arriving at 9pm. It is a steep hill to park on and while I personally didn't have any problems with the rental car, the person parked next to me got broken in to. Probably best to just uber everywhere.

How clean the room was and friendly the hosts were

We enjoyed our stay at On Barkley. The room is comfortable and well furnished. The kitchenette is useful for making tea and coffee and warming up store-bought meals. Everything is clean and modern, and the room is stylishly decorated, making it cosy. The location is excellent. It's a quiet street within walking distance or a short drive from the trendy cafes and restaurants in Sea Point. It's also easy to get to beaches like Clifton and Camps Bay.

The only tricky thing is parking space, but parking is always an issue in Cape Town.

Location was great in between mountains for hikes and the sea. The area was also very safe. The host Cornelis was very nice and accommodating and gave some great tips for restaurants in and out of Cape Town. Would definitely recommend staying here!
