On Barkly

I really enjoyed my stay here! It's a cozy room with a big bathroom in a recently renovated house. WIFI works well and you have access to a nice little terrace. The area is quiet but you can find everything you need within a short walking distance. Roxanne and Cornelis are very helpul and nice to be around. I would definitely recommend and always come back.

The room was tidy and very comfortable, it is also possible to use the house pool. Overall, the location is central, making it easy to walk during the day, and also cheap to go by uber during the night. It is close to Mojo Market and Seaside area, full of restaurants, bars and shops.

Everything was great

This is one of the best rooms I've had anywhere. 1. It's very cosy. The room looks very new and the view from outside is amazing as you can see the sea; 2. I's super clean, something I didn't account for before going to South Africa so that was a huge plus for me. It was clean when I arrived and in the week I stayed the room was fully cleaned again after a couple of days; 3. It's a great place to work (remotely). The Wi-Fi works perfectly and electricity is being generated so no troubles with loadshedding. You can sit at the desk or outside or alternate; 4. It's a very nice location. It's only a 7 min walk to the 'main street' with your supermarkets and other shops you need. Mojo Market is also around a 7 min walk, big recommendation to go there. Also if you want to go to Camps Bay or Waterfront, you're located in between those two; 5. It's very quiet. Although youre not far away from all the shops, it's very nice and quiet in the area the apartment is located so you can sleep very peacefully; 6. There was always room to park our car somewhere; 7. It has the facilities you need: a fridge, a closet, cutlery and tableware, a European plug socket converter, a beautiful shower and a tv in front of the bed with streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, HBO. Normally I don't write reviews but this was a great stay I very much enjoyed and exceeded my expectations. Cornelis told me he just started renting out this room, that's the reason it only has a couple of reviews yet so take advantage of the availability it has now. If you're looking for a place to work remotely and/or stay at with your partner (or alone), you're definitely going to have a great time here. Cornelis is very nice, I've felt welcome from the start, thanks again for the nice stay.
