Best hotel ever, everyone should stay here. In fact I'm sorry I didnt stay longer. Thank you for the amazing hospitality, gorgeous clean rooms and fabulous views 😊

The staff members were very friendly and always willing to assist, the location was peaceful and beautiful.

The facilities inside the hotel are great and the beach in front is really amazing. Unfortunately the area around is not well maintained. The rooms are very good.

I think is completely overrated for the value vs. benefit. The activities sold at the hotel are very expensive for the quality that they offer. We felt really scammed, although the management stepped in and provide discount after we raised the complaint of getting less than half of the things that we paid for, and the ones that we got were in horrible conditions. The transportation in and out from the hotel is extremely elevated compare to other places in the world (even Tanzania mainland) and very difficult to move around. The hotel can arrange transportation but is normally much more expensive than coordinating directly with the taxi driver. The area where the hotel is located unfortunately is not well maintained. Everything is full of garbage and plastic. Also is far away walking distance from anything else. The hotel charges the expenses in Schillings, but at the end if you are paying in USD the exchange rate at the hotel is absurd.

The structure of the hotel is very beautiful and modern, the place is very quiet, pascal the person welcome us very kind. perfect for those who want to relax and escape from congestion, the staff are always very friendly and attentive, the food is very good... including the banana cake😋

The beach and to go to restaurants, shops or paje you need to walk around 15min.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Mayai Ocean Resort. We stayed in one of the junior suite rooms which had an outlook onto the beach and was very spacious and comfortable. The location was excellent with access direct onto the wonderful beach which stretches for miles in either direction, and with save bathing. All of the staff with friendly and helpful, and the there was enough variety in the restaurant menu to keep us interested for 10 days. The quality of the food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. The Mayai Ocean Resort is the perfect location for some chilled out time under the African sun. We hope to return one day.

Perfect location just outside the busy touristy Paja city on an almost empty, beautiful beach. Very quiet and clean. Nice pool area. Partly owned by a cosy Norwegian who is very present and available for advice.

Great rooms and pool. Amazing breakfast and other meals served in the restaurant. Lots of sun beds and close to the beach. Kind owner who's very interested in making sure guests have a good experience.

We often had to wait +1 hour to get our food, and unfortunately there were some problems with the hot water not working sometimes. But we were told they were working on fixing it.

Great breakfast, amazing pool, and incredible staff

The were exceptionally well from Ami at the reception to Angel, Gloria and David the King…they made our stay even more special

I think the food there is still a room for improvement
