The Headland Lodge

The Headland Lodge is located on the highway so was a breeze for us to find. We were greeted by the Manager, Tarquin, who couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We had called earlier to ask if checking in earlier was ok, as one of our friends wasn't feeling well. Tarquin was very understanding and said that would not be a problem. Our rooms were very neat and clean and also very comfortable. We were very happy to have access to the communal kitchen to be able to prepare our dinner and then breakfast the following morning. The kitchen was very clean and well equipped.

How far away the motel was from main town (Gisborne).

Cool little lodge, friendly staff, very comfy and a super big kitchen. Bathrooms are clean, rooms are fine

Breakfast not applicable- Had the lodge to ourselves, good kitchen facilities, very clean , pleasant manager,

Too far out of Gisborne- no one there when we arrived - place seemed to be deserted:

Good size bedroom adequate en suite. Well appointed communal kitchen. Games room. Friendly staff

A wee bit further out of town than we expected. No food available.

Freedom of the use of the facilities. Cool location, lots to do inside with the pool table, darts and table tennis. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel at home. Grateful to them for letting our kids spend the day with us before they headed back to R&V.
