Located on the outskirts of Gisborne. Very comfortable room. There's a large communal kitchen, dining room and games room. We enjoyed playing pool and table tennis.

Little bit far from town but great facility with excellent host

peaceful, relaxing, good facilities, Tarquin was a really friendly welcoming host, there's a nice short 2min walk up the hill behind the lodge excellent view of the ocean and poverty bay flats, good for sunrise n sunset piks

Tarquin was very lovely to talk to and made our stay extremely hospitable. We certainly got our moneys worth using the darts board, pool table, table tennis table and a game of chess! Will certainly recommend if you’re on the way to Gisborne

Excellent facilities to self-cater. Clean with TV and games. Comfy bed. Easy to find. Parking next to building. Friendly helpful welcome. Easy access and instructions. Affordable. Very quiet - we were the only guests that night.

Hot water didn’t seem to be working in our ensuite room, so we used the communal shower which was fine. It’s only 20km from Gisborne so easy if you have a car but not close to any sights to see or walks.
