Manoni Ratiani's Guesthouse

Comfortable 3 night stay. Our host was friendly and helpful - from recommending places to eat (we liked Cafe Laila) to arranging a shared taxi/driver to go to Ushguli. The room (a double with mountain view) was simple but fine and we slept well. We had breakfast one day in the Guesthouse (20 GEL) - generous spread (omelette, cheese, cucumber/tomato, bread, jam, etc.)

The private bathroom had a bit of a drain smell which permeated the bedroom

The location was quiet, in a residential area of Mestia, a short walk across the river to cafes and restaurants. Manoni met me on arrive and gave me a cup of coffee. She also kindly arranged for a local guide to take me on a wonderful day-hike in the mountains above Mestia. No meals are provided but given proximity to cafes and restaurants of centre of Mestia, this does not matter.

no reception, the guesthouse was hard to find, we were told there is a kitchen we can use but it was closed, also we were told that there is no breakfast option available and the reviews suggested otherwise

Nice guesthouse a bit off the centre of Mestia. There is a breakfast option (which we didn't take). We were able to park the motorcycle near the stairs for the room (not to haul around luggage). There is a small river in front for soothing water noise, if you're into this.

The bathroom was fine, but there was no shower head hanger and the toilet cistern was constantly flowing in the bowl (which was noisy only, but still a mild discomfort - alleviated by stopping the water for the toilet during the night).

Great guesthouse, I can fully reccomend it. Rooms were comfortable, with bathrooms and access to the kitchen. We came during the bad weather time, so additional blankets were waiting for us. Very hospitable, carring owners, ready to advise and looking for our comfort. Dinner was delicious and big! Thank you for your hospitality!

I really liked everything, especially people- they are helpful, warm and wish to help You in every situation! You really can feel like at home there… Best guesthouse in Georgia!
