Tranquil countryside cottage for two

It is set up perfectly for visitors, peaceful surroundings.

My husband had trouble with the front door until he realised the locking system was just different to what we’re used to in Australia.

Everything provided, clean, left alone unless requested help.

Personal preferences more pressure needed in shower and a washing up sponges option as there was food trapped in the cleaning brush from previous occupants that we couldn't 100% remove!

Very peaceful and relaxing. The countryside was beautiful! It was a great away from the city. The local pub was also very close and had amazing food! The people were also super friendly. We didn’t want to leave!!

Absolutely nothing!

This cottage is set in a stunning location with outstanding views and beautiful surroundings. There are 2 horses in the field right next to the house who kept us laughing with their antics. The property is well away from the road so there is next to no noise and the cottage itself was beautifully presented. It kept a cottage feel about yet with a modern twist. It was absolutely spotless and had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The couple who lived in the main house were very friendly and it was clear nothing would have been too much trouble.

If there was 1 downfall, it would be the bath. As ladies of an older age we like a really hot, deep bath and this wasn't as hot as we would have liked but we did use it, the water is drawn from the main property and not on the boiler system so hot water was limited. This definitely did not affect our stay, I just feel it's worth a mention if you like a good long soak.

Cosy, spacious, well-appointed cottage. Very peaceful with views on all sides. Birdsong in abundance. Lovely pub in the village and friendly bus service. Lots of places to go and interesting history. Ideal for walkers or nature-lovers. Or just somewhere to get away from it all and completely relax.

Lovely cosy cottage, that was perfect for 2. All facilities were excellent, and well equipped throughout. Fabulous views, and surrounding countryside. Walking from cottage was excellent, lovely country park close by that could also be reached by car if hill walking is not your thing. Went up to the top for a spectacular sunset, with 360 views. Tranquil is a great word to describe the cottage. We got food in, and then enjoyed our surroundings.

Stayed here over the weekend and had a great time, the provided directions and co-ordinates made it an easy journey, enjoyed the kitchen which was well stocked with all the cooking essentials and very clean, super comfy bed, great to hop into after a relaxing bath in the evening, - Hosts replied fast when I had a query, great quiet location, lots of nearby sheep XD, couldn't have asked for more!

quite far from any local stores on foot - but okay if you're driving, walking for hours like we were, or if you come prepared with enough food! ( and alcohol :D)

Beautiful location. Great for a quiet getaway
