Tranquil countryside cottage for two

Very cosy little cottage. Excellent for stargazing or country walks. Good range of kitchen utensils supplied for cooking. Little heater in the living room for extra warmth.

Wasn't able to use the fancy bath because the water didn't run hot for long enough to fill it.

Home from home experience. Has everything you need. The views are spectacular. Perfectly positioned for days out at Chester or Liverpool too.

It was cold inside. They do have extra electric heaters but we still found it cold waiting to warm it up with heating on (which they control) so I'd just suggest to turn it up when very cold or get the house warmed up before arrival. Maybe a blanket to snuggle under on the sofa would be a nice addition. I won't mark it down for this though.

The cottage and the surrounding area are beautiful, we took a stroll down to the local pub The Cross Keys for lunch and the food was exceptional. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming in the pub too. Had the weather been better we would have used the outdoor area, as I imagine it is a great amenity in the warmer months. We were able to check out the beautiful sunsets from the windows but I imagine sitting on the patio of an evening would be amazing. The facilities are top notch with everything you may need, we took our own torches as we knew it may have been dark walking back from the local pub but when we arrived they have two hanging up in the hall way, they've thought of everything even a little wireless speaker in the kitchen that you can use around the house or even outside in the warmer months.

We struggled with hot water for the bath, not sure if it was a timing thing. The bathroom is stunning and the roll top bath is exceptional but we used a boiled kettle to top up the water. Again this may have been an us problem not getting the timings right. We couldn't find instruction in the manual for the hot water.

Lovely remote and peaceful location. Well presented with everything needed for a relaxing stay in the area.

Missed my dishwasher.

We stayed in Cae Glas for two nights in November, then a few weeks later we went back for another 3 nights.  When we were looking at the photos of Cae Glas they seemed so beautiful like they'd been generated by AI...So we were blown away when we turned up and they were real!  The place is absolutely beautiful! The Views from the house, the drive up the quiet lanes to get there, it's such a stunning area that we're wanting to go back for a 3rd time. Joe and Amy have made a beautiful home, with such a cosy natural feel.  The kitchen is so well equipped it feels like home. We were lucky enough to stay there in the snow, and it was magical,it felt like we were in the holiday. The bath is big enough for two and it's a really romantic place to stay.  We ate at the pub down the road which does great food and were made to feel really welcome. You won't want to leave Cae Glas, it's beautiful, cosy and has everything you need for a lovely break.  

A well presented cottage with every amenity required for a comfortable and enjoyable break. The surrounding countryside has great views and lots of walks from the front door. We had a lovely break and couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodation.

Absolutely beautiful weekend away, the weather was perfect for us and the surroundings were gorgeous. The most perfect scenery! The cottage itself is lovely and decorated really well and has kept a lot of the original features!

Nothing to dislike, we just felt like the bedroom could do with a bigger bed as a double felt quite snug!

Cosy cottage with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Set in a gorgeous location, views from the cottage are stunning. Lots of walks via public footpaths including to the local pub - highly recommend the fish and chips .

The cottage was very cosy and a perfect place to rest after a busy day exploring. The rooms were all lovely, and the decor perfectly done to give a warm and homely feel. We also loved the views outside, and seeing the horses in the paddock next door was great. Overall, it was a perfect little mini break one we've been needing for some time!
