Lovely staff with a delicious breakfast. Nice room, comfy bed. Good shower!! Very close to the zocalo, walking distance, easy parking and a sweet little pool area.

My room on the first floor was not far from the street so a bit noisy.

close to town, great breakfast (skip the quesadilla), the cleaning lady and breakfast cook was extremely kind and attentive, make sure to tip her well. Comfortable bed and clean linen. Bikes are included. They let you use the main fridge.

was told they don’t accept credit card upon arrival even after asking beforehand. showed the message that said credit card payment was accepted but just got a shrug and so at the moment it was upsetting. It was a stressful situation when you have only so much cash on hand, don’t know where the atm’s are, if they have enough cash in them(they didn’t) or how you can try to possibly stay somewhere else but not get charged . We ended up paying half so we could have some money on us and then paying the rest after driving all the way to Chetumal to find a bank with cash in it. Our room was the king on the main floor. There is a bell outside for guests and it’s right outside the room so it can be loud. The blinds were broken so we would have to turn the outside light off otherwise it was glaring in our room . The kitchen area is right outside the main bedroom area so it starts to get loud and smells of breakfast early. The room had a musty smell. The owner was pleasant after she got her way with the payment. Her daughter seemed annoyed with us.

2 ladies staff were always helpful. Allowed kitchen use. Hot / cold clean water dispenser available. Hot Breakfast included. Modern wi-fi and Smart TV. Good AC in room. Bed was firm and comfortable. Quiet nights. Free bicycles are very useful. Small pool is there to cool off quick. Location is a couple blocks from downtown.

Josephina is overly protective like strict mother. It felt judgemental to me as a single traveler. Everything kept locked with constant fear of intruders. Very tight uncomfortable entrance. This is a 4 bdrm 2 story private home used as hotel. Surveillance camera inside shared space..Hate that! Hard surfaces everywhere (tile & granite) are noisy. Rooms have no sound privacy. Staff starts work at 6:45am and hard surfaces make it impossible to walk/work quietly. Cork or bamboo floor & wall coverings to absorb noise would help a lot. Poor plumbing. 5 min wait for hot water. Foul sewer odor from shower drain as if there is no P-trap to stop backup odors. There is a rubber drain cover. Room always stinks of sewer odor or cleaning products.

Breakfast was delicious, and we had a great time talking with one of the staff, Maria. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice. Room was spacious. It was super easy to walk to Zocalo which was perfect for just 1 night in town. Lots of restaurants to choose from -- we went to La Trattoria Del ‘46 and the food and service were outstanding!! (And great price too!)

I had the room downstairs near the entry; there was some street noise. I think upstairs is probably better, but I didn't want to haul my suitcases up the stairs for just 1 night!

Disponibility and availability of the host was perfect. Very good breakfast.

swimming pool was not very clean but correct
