Great value, location, staff.

The staff didn’t have change for my payment. She told me to go ahead and book the Uber and the Uber driver will give me the change of room payment, but he didn’t. That’s not a lot of money but I felt cheated and uncomfortable. I thought the guesthouse should prepare proper change if they only take cash.

I had a comfortable stay at Kenya Inn. Although there was some confusion regarding my arrival time, the person in charge was very helpful and accommodating, even though I arrived late. She made sure I could check in and was responsive after a few calls from me and my Uber driver. The property is located in a fenced and secure area, which made me feel safe. The room was comfortable, and I slept well.

The main issue during my stay was a power outage, which made the experience less comfortable. While this was not directly the property’s fault, it did affect my stay. Other than that, I had a positive experience.

There was nothing to like about the dilapidated state of the property.

The WiFi connection in my room was very good, fast and stable. A mosquito net is provided. The breakfast was alright, I didn't really get options to choose from but the fruit and pancakes I was served were ok. I recommend to adjust the expectations to the low price, it's a basic place to spend a night.

It's close to the airport BUT with Nairobi traffic my uber still took over an hour to get there in the afternoon /early evening. Same goes for morning hours so it's not a great starting point to visit anything in the city unless you have a very early pickup. The noise from a nearby mosque and a rooster made sure I didn't get any deep sleep past 4am, despite wearing earplugs. The water didn't work reliably (shower, flush..) and the general condition of my room leaned towards the lower end. Payment is ksh cash only. All in all I wouldn't stay there again, unless I have a flight arriving late night and very early plans the next day (e.g. safari pick up before sunrise).
