Buiten hotel was er niet veel

Our waitress Ndey was doing a wonderful Job, she is Kind & Always has a Smile on the Face. The Pool area is spacious & the beach is stunning The bed was one of the Most comfortable one I've ever slept in, also the room itself was spacious & Clean. The food in ala carte Restaurant especially lamb casserole & grilled Beef Filet were outstanding while Other dishes were boring and lacked of Attention. Kombo Beach has been renovated but still has way to Go to get the best Hotel in Gambia. But it's on a good way & I Hope it will get there!

Music in the afternoon & evening was too noisy Other guests were able to get in the Hotel area with a daypass The food especially breakfast was really boring, Lunch and Dinner okay but nothing Special and definitly Not worth the Money. It would Help a Lot seasoning the food better & Focus on the Presentation. The local people yell at the people all the time and you can Not Set a foot on the beach without getting to know a local who wants to sell anything. They keep on chasing for the tourists which really Destroys the experience. Maybe the Hotel can Work together with Them in Future so the Situation could possibility Change. I know everyone has to earn Money but people are really spending Lots of Money for such a hotel & don't want to get put under pressure all the time.

This part I am gonna write in English so the staff will get it. The staff is nice but not warm when it comes to basic interactions , but once it’s about to point out where they did wrong , it turns to an argument and like I told them , I have no time and no business to argue with them especially when they are wrong. To start , I arrived at 8 pm and only check in at 11pm. The room wasn’t prepared , they put a sofa “bed” instead of two single bed. The balcony wasn’t clean and it was full of stock. We found pudding uncovered in the fridge. No towels and when I asked for it , I got it the day after at 5pm. I paid a room with ocean view which was more expensive than regular room. They charged us the “diner” which was only leftovers : remember we check in at 11pm, the restaurant was closed and when I asked why , they said I didn’t understand the welcoming starters was offer but not the buffet , but we never been explain the differences. I spent two days arguing with the staffs , just to make sure we will enjoy our staying . What really bother us is that we were a black family traveling and we get the worse service , while the white tourist were treated like royalty members and we all pay the same money at the end of the. I can’t stand to pay the same money and get the worse services solely based on skin colors. It just reminds me dark era and I refuse it

The cleanliness in rooms and facilities, the location by the ocean, big rooms.

Slow service at the reception although reception staff were kind, it was generally a bit chaotic. Very slow service at the restaurant and only meat options on the menu. A lot of noise by cleaning staff and guests on the corridors speaking loudly and banging doors. The fire alarm went off in my room at 4am and other guests had the same problem too on other night
