We recently had the pleasure of staying at Lake Toya Tsuruga Resort HIKARINOUTA, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warmth and friendliness made us feel genuinely welcomed. Every interaction was thoughtful and personalized, making our stay incredibly special. One of the highlights of the resort is the private open-air onsen, which offers a breathtaking view of Lake Toya. Relaxing in the soothing waters while taking in the serene beauty of the lake was an unforgettable experience. It felt like a perfect escape from the world. The dining experience was also exceptional. Both the French and Japanese kaiseki meals were Michelin-grade and a true delight to the senses. The premium French dinner was included in the daily hotel rate, which was a fantastic surprise, while the Japanese kaiseki dinner could be reserved at a nominal fee of about $15 per person—an incredible value for such a gourmet experience. What made the meals even more special was that most, if not all, of the ingredients—from seafood to vegetables to dairy—were locally sourced. This connection to the region’s fresh produce made us feel closer to nature, adding a unique depth to every bite. Overall, Lake Toya Tsuruga Resort HIKARINOUTA exceeded all of our expectations. The combination of luxurious amenities, stunning natural surroundings, and top-tier service made our stay truly remarkable. We can’t recommend this resort enough for anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Hokkaido.
