The Rockwall Boutique Hotel Bentota

We wanted to enjoy our last 5 days in luxury and in a hotel on the beach. And here we were lucky to choose the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Sri Lanka! The hotel is apparently quite new and has not yet received stars on booking.com, but I have no doubt that they deserve 5! 🤩 There are only 8 rooms (large) and 2 suites (with private pool). So you quickly get to know the other guests and not least the staff. And they are something very special. You are simply taken care off, so it's unbelievable. We travel with a 9-year-old and since there were no other children in the hotel, they played ball and played with him in the pool. They arranged breakfast on the beach and they prepared the sunbeds right on the spot they knew we would like to lie down. They also drove right down to town and picked up what we needed. And since our flight was delayed, so we had to rebook the whole trip, we could just stay one day in the same room - no problems. They are simply amazing! The hotel is located approx. 10 min by tuk-tuk outside Bentota in the Induruwa area. There are a few shops and restaurants nearby if you want to walk around the area. But we mostly went for a walk on the incredibly beautiful and deserted beach. Here the locals fish on the rocks and you have the most amazing sunset. We also saw a dolphin up close.🐬 There are pretty big waves, but we swam anyway - because there is a lifeguard who is ready with diving goggles when you approach the sea.

The staff was the most outstanding „feature“ of this hotel. Always kind and helpful and with a personal touch. For example you mention that you prefer vegan food and you don’t have to ask anymore. Everybody is aware of it and you can be assure that you get served only vegan food. The food and especially the breakfast were exceptional good and prepared with love and care. We felt ourselves more then welcomed! The hotel and rooms are designed very tastefully with all the amenities which you expect in a hotel of this class. The rooms have a great view and everything was spotless clean.

It was a little bit offside so we had to go by Tuctuc whenever we wanted to do some outside activity. That was just our view - I bet there are many guest who are loving the location because it’s not close to any places which tend to be crowded or loud.

Meals were amazing and the location is fantastic ♥️
