Dee Lodge

We,as family, with two little children came to Scotland to run Loch Ness marathon. Right place, set up,mood , mental (apart from obvious physical) state BEFORE the run were important factors for me We arrived at nearly 2 in the morning. And Debbie was still in touch checking up on us and giving the directions. When we checked into the lodge, we fell in love with it all: so clean, so fresh ,so beautiful, those little details in interior, the view, the design. Parking is available and easy. The staff would message you on WhatsApp to ask how you are and whether everything is OK. Whenever we needed anything, we'd get reply, it would be sorted in fast and nicest way within literally few minutes. Special thanks for letting us to check out later, as my body felt shredded after the marathon , i felt severely unwell and I just couldn't to check out on time . The kindness and care and love the staff showed made me emotional. THANK YOU. 🙏 This place has now special place in our hearts and memories. ❤️

Tidy, comfortable, good condition with good facilities and bonus was all the bits and pieces left for us and particularly the lockable shed wherewe could store our bikes

Can't really think of anything. Oh yes, I found the key lock box difficult to use.

Very clean. Great location. Very quiet. Everything we needed was there ( except salt) 😊

Very strong floral smell from cleaning products on arrival which took a couple of days to disappear. Bed was like sleeping on a marshmallow. Both of these are personal preferences .

The property was absolutely spotless - well done to the cleaners! Host responded quickly to my questions. There was also a folder with suggestions for meals & hikes. It was quite spacious - two bedrooms and two bathrooms - and was well - laid out. Good location

It was cold (even in summer) so being able to crank up the heating would have been good. There were instructions for doing this - but we didn't seem to have much success.

Lovely and clean, couldn’t fault it at all. Fab little area with activities, walks places to eat and not far from Aviemore.

Layout of the Caravan and the provision of all kitchen necessities eg kitchen Roll, cling film dishwasher tabs, Kitchen utensils, knives Pots and pans etc. Wi-Fi and a smart TV albeit small.

The fridge and some utensils in the kitchen needed cleaning before using. Leftover condiments from previous guests…. Loose coffee, tea bags and sugar. Since COVID I would not want to use food that could have been touched by previous guests. Kitchen bin did not close. Bedding and towels need replacing as they are not crisp and fresh anymore. The mattress needs replacing as a mattress topper has been added but is too soft. The sofa and chairs need cleaning or replacing as they are covered in stains and don’t smell too good. The site map gives the impression that you have plenty space around you but this is not the case. You are pretty overlooked. Although not the owners responsibility there was no recycling for plastic, tins glass. The owners should insist this is addressed by the Park Owners.

Fabulous caravan with lots of homely touches that made it the perfect place to stay. We loved the light shades. The site was nicely maintained and quiet enough that the kids could go round on their scooters. It was great having the outdoor space too and the shed came in handy for storing the kid's scooters securely.

Only negative was the soft, squeaky mattress in the master bedroom, but that could be down to personal preference as I like a fairly firm mattress.

Lovely place to stay.

Bed was too soft for me and the pillows too big but still had a comfortable sleep.

The site was lovely and the caravan was modern, comfortable and easy to get to. Parking was good but only room for one car. Additional parking was available on the site.

Apart from the WiFi being a bit temperamental, as on a mobile network, there was nothing to dislike about this site or caravan.
