Triangle Home Stay

We had a wonderful stay by Nimal and his wife in Dambulla. The location is very good – quiet, yet still central – and a perfect starting point for tours. Nimal was incredibly helpful, assisting us with planning and organizing everything, and even drove us himself on some occasions. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was always very tasty and lovingly prepared. We can highly recommend staying here to anyone.

Located in a quiet street between the 2 main roads of Dambulla. This unique wooden triangle cabin was clean and spacious. The bathroom has 3 steps to enter where there's hot water waiting. We spent the hottest part of the day sitting on the balcony with a fan keeping us cool. The lovely family took us to the Cave Temple and bus station for free and organised a elephant safari with a fantastic guide where we saw over 40 elephants. They also organised a driver and guide to take us to Pidurangala Royal Cave Temple. The young man walked us up the rock and assisted us thru the difficult terrain to the top. Breakfast was also a highlight. Delicious.

What a beautiful room with wood walls. The hosts were welcoming. A nice garden and the shower was warm.

We had the BEST stay here! We only had 1 night but we wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived during one of the national holidays and the host made an effort to welcome us with traditional food from the celebrations and fresh juice. The host is extremely kind and friendly and the dinner he prepared for us was probably the best we had in Sri Lanka! The breakfast was also very tasty. The room had a beautiful wooden eco-lodge vibe, with a balcony and patio area below where we ate. Our host kindly drove us to see Dambulla temples and arranged onward travel to our next destination. We had a wonderful time and will absolutely be recommending this! Thank you very much.

Really amazing stay! Nimal and the family are so lovely and helpful. The included breakfast is fantastic! So yum. Would happily stay here over and over again.

The location was great, also the garden was very beautiful. Nimal was extremely helpful and kind, and treated us like family. We arrived extra early and he opened the door for us. We are very thankful for that. The breakfast was incredibly tasty and we ordered dinner one night and really liked it. Nimal also arranged the tuktuk for us for a whole day. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Dambulla.
