The Peak Residence

We hiked Sri Pada from the Ratnapura side to the peak and down the Hatton side in one day... We were already exhausted when the guesthouse that we had previously booked called to say that they could not receive us! We were so so grateful that we could book Peak Residence at the last minute and arrive without any trouble despite the town-wide power outage. The hostess and pro business lady, Samanthi was so kind, friendly and gracious! She received us at eight thirty at night and showed us to the room by candle light! The room was extremely clean, comfortable, well-furnished, spacious and quite fancy, like a hotel - the most affordable hotel stay I have ever enjoyed! In the morning we got to indulge in an abundant, delicious Sri Lankan breakfast included in the price - wow! All of this very close to the end of the long trail, and it costed us six dollars less than we would have payed at another, further away spot!

The only thing the room needs is a rubber mat in the bathroom - the floor gets super slippery when wet!

Quite close to Adam's peak. Breakfast is decent but absolutely HUGE. Great value if you are a breakfast person.

The bed was very basic. No sheet, just a blanket and a pilled bottom sheet.

Helemaal prima voor één nachtje als je de hike wilt doen. Verwacht niet te veel van de accommodatie, maar het is zeker waar voor je geld. De eigenaresse is bovendien een hele lieve en gastvrije vrouw, wat je verblijf extra prettig maakt! 😊

Had a good experience stayed in here, breakfast is excellent and owner is so friendly, hot water also available with nice clean and comfy room.

One of the best places to stay in Nallathanniya (Sri Padaya). Totally worth the money. The place was comfortable and clean, and the owner and staff were very friendly and quick to help with anything. A good place to get some rest before or after the hike. Thanks for the hospitality, see you again. 10/10
