I would definitely recommend the apartment! It has a beautiful rooftop terrace with ocean view, good working AC, everything you need in the kitchen and restaurants close by. And above all, Carlos, the owner, is so friendly and helpful. I'd come back next time.

Very nice and comfortable. Although it is not walking distance from the beach it is well located in Zicatela. The staff was very attentive, nice, and helpful, He even let me bring my other family members in to the terrace to celebrate new year. Very good value for money.

Clean, modern, fantastic rooftop terrace, the little kitchen has all you need for simple meals, water is provided, bed is comfy, AC works well and good quiet fan as well. Bathroom is simple but has everything you need. Soap and shampoo provided. Carlos is a fantastic super responsive host! He even went to the bus station to confirm bus times for my trip to HUX. Very good stay!

If I were to change anything it would be the location. We enjoyed staying in a local lively neighborhood but the hike home from the beach is very steep and you have to cross the highway. We still had a very good stay, but just be prepared.

Everything was amazing! Flat is cozy, clean and well equipped. I stayed for a week and would have stayed longer! Carlos is lovely person, super nice and always available if you need anything. Highly recommended.

Carlos, the person who received us, was fantastic and helpful in whatever he could. The weather didn't help him with some request, but that was definitely not his doing.

There are a few issues with this place though. Location isn't the best although it isn't terrible. If you don't take a taxi, you'll have to go up the hill 3 blocks on a considerably damaged road and turn to a road that's not paved so be aware that you will have to lift your luggage or it'll get stuck in the sand road. The place is 5 blocks from the beach, reaching out isn't difficult but consider the road if you'll be walking in flip-flops. Cleanliness wasn't great. We were told it was spiced to happen Tuesdays and Thursdays but we only got the room cleaned on Wednesday for the 5 days we were there, we got in on Monday left on Friday. Amenities are basic, no pool and the first room we got, had the AC unit leaking water to the bed, straight to my pillow. We got changed into another room with the exact same style and it was alright. There's no hot water, I know being at this type of destinations, it's probably not used much however, during rainy season, if you get caught in a storm, when you reach the room, having a warm shower helps a lot. The bathroom has no division between the shower and the toilet, it doesn't create a terrible mess, but there will be some. The sink is outside the bathroom but has no space to place your toiletries. Lastly but definitely still very important, I was told safety in Puerto Escondido is good however, the main entrance to the hotel/villa, has no security guard at all, apparently the rain messed up the door's keypad and you simply needed to reach in to open it, something done guests would not do and just close the door without locking. The room has a regular metal key to lock and nothing else.
