Eco Conservation Landak Luxury Tents

Josef was an amazing host, the food at the accommodation was 10/10, and the river at the bottom was a huge bonus. When we arrived we were picked up from the town and taken on a 10 minute, fun, off road track to the accommodation via motorbike. We booked a one night jungle trek through Josef and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our guides Tamrin and Rile were amazing, spoke great English and were both incredible orangutan/monkey spotters. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Peacefull place in the Nature, you can swim in the river, walk in the woods around and look for Thomas leaf-monkeys, birds and even oranutangs. The little cafe is really chill with a great view, good food and the chalets are pretty cosy! Joseph speaks English very well and is an amazing guide with great knowledge and implication in Jungle conservation, and local projects to which you can participate. I advice you to do a treck with him you'll not be disappointed.

The shared bathroom is very basic but OK. Would be a good point to build something a bit more reliable. Also, I suggest that to rent or lend some bicycles would be a great idea to go to the village. And I think that it would be better to elevate the beds in the small chalets.

Really nice and quiet location next to the river. Josef and the rest of the family are very nice and make you feel welcome. I had already booked a trek otherwise I would have definitely booked with Josef, he seemed very knowledgeable and respectful of the jungle and the activities he offered seemed very cool. The room was comfortable with a mosquito net and fan. The food was delicious with free breakfast and coffee/tea! Overall amazing.

Stayed here with my 1yo baby and they made us feel so at home! Beautiful people and place. Accommodation interior : One of the best mattresses in bukit lawang (compared to higher range priced accommodations). Room is clean, spacious balcony and there’s a fan! This is glamping for me. Josef is one of the most kindest person we’ve met in Bukit Lawang and trekking with him is fun with lots of learning as he has extensive knowledge of the forest plants and location of animals as he usually monitors the area. It was a unique experience where we could view orangutans without any other tourist around. He also personally helps the local farmers with proceeds from trekking and this in turn helps create a healthy environment between the people, tourists, and animals here. Amenities : Food in on-site restaurant is amazing and freshly prepared. Toilet is also one of the cleanest I’ve seen so far. View & Location : beautiful jungle and river view and surrounded by durian and other trees. Josef gave us a few durians freshly dropped on ground : very delicious!There’s a combination of deep and low pools in the river within walking distance. Water is as beautiful as it can be.
