The place is very beautiful! The property is excellent, everything is thought out down to the smallest detail. There are animals all around—cows, sheep, horses, cats, and even roosters singing. It really feels like you’re out in the countryside 100%. The location is great. You can get there from Porto by taxi in just 20 minutes, which is very convenient! At the entrance, we were greeted by a very kind and polite girl. Even though we don’t speak Portuguese and she didn’t speak English, we managed to understand each other perfectly. We were taken to our house in a small car, which added a lot of charm to the experience! Our house had a jacuzzi and a pool (which was working even in October). The house was clean enough and cozy. Also, several cats kept visiting us, which was really cute.

Minus 1. There was no dishwasher, which unfortunately resulted in some dirty dishes left behind by previous guests—apparently not everyone washes them properly. 2. In one of the kitchen cabinets, there were leftovers of bread or something similar from previous guests. That’s unacceptable. I don’t know how long it had been there, but it could easily attract insects. 3. We were provided with a grill, which was great! However, when I asked in advance, I was told we only needed to bring charcoal. In the end, it turned out they didn’t provide any grill tools at all. They told us to take what we needed from the kitchen. As a result, I had to fan the fire using a dustpan and turn over the hot coals with plastic tongs. 4. The bathroom sink was clogged and water kept collecting in it. 5. The listing said there were wine glasses, but there were only two champagne flutes and one wine glass. That was quite inconvenient since we needed two wine glasses, so one of us had to drink wine from a regular glass. 6. The internet in the house didn’t work at all! There was Wi-Fi, and we could connect, but no pages would load. We had planned to watch movies in the evening, so that was disappointing. 7. We ordered breakfast, which was beautifully delivered in a wicker basket in the morning, but the breakfast itself was terrible. There was a huge pile of bread and only two slices of cheese and two slices of ham. There was also juice, fruit, and jam—but it was definitely not worth €15. In hotels, you can get a wide selection of hot dishes for that price. We really didn’t like it. 8. The cats were very cute and a joy to watch, but they were completely untrained—they jumped on the table and stole food. We didn’t mind and were happy to feed them, but we couldn’t have a proper meal ourselves because there was no table inside the house where we could eat without the cats around. The only table was on the open veranda, where the cats were always present. So, we had to eat standing inside the house.
