Very friendly staff, a great location -perfect for day walks. Breakfast every morning was excellent.

Breakfast and location very good.

Perhaps have another shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. The shelf provided was only strong enough for very light items.

The Grasmere Hotel is a beautiful hotel that we stopped by for one night to break up a long day on our Coast to Coast walk.It is situated conveniently close the Coast to Coast Route.My Friend and I had been battered by the weather a bit that day and arrived absolutely soaked through.The lady on Reception was amazing. she checked us in quickly,informing us that our bags were already placed in our room .She took all our wet clothes and boots and put them in the Drying Room for which we were very grateful,Thankyou.We’d booked a twin room and when we entered it was a double room set up but that was cheerfully and efficiently changed.The room was an immaculate ground floor room with a garden view and lovely and warm which was just what we needed after our cold wet day.The Kitchen isn’t open every night for dinner ( check on booking if you require an evening meal ) but there are several dining choices a very short walk into town. Breakfast was wonderful,cooked selection available with an accompanying cold selection and of course porridge,which I chose and was perfect for the start of a long walk day . We sadly said farewell after only one quick night but will definitely return when in the area.This Hotel is the perfect stop to break the long Day 3 of The Coast to Coast walk between Rosthwaite and Patterdale and I would highly recommend doing that .

Wir hatten zwar ein Twinzimmer reserviert, aber das Bett und die Decke waren sehr gross. Von daher war alles gut.
