Aethra Vegan Caves

Our stay here was amazing! The hosts were so kind and helpful! The homemade breakfasts each morning were beyond delicious and felt like royalty! All the recommendations of things to do were excellent! Beautiful view and accommodations! Thank you!

You do need to be able to walk up a large hill with luggage on uneven pathway, but doable and hosts are there to help.

Everything! The host are the best, they shared a lot of local recommendations. The room was super clean, it’s new and huge! Luxury with a private pool cave that was amazing. The breakfast is delicious! And the terrace has beautiful views. Highly recommended!

We went to Santorini for our honeymoon. The place is simply exeptional. We almost didn't want to leave our cave because we felt so good. Everything has been thought out and chosen with taste. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!

An amazing space!! The highlight was the private jacuzzi pool, facing the sunset so you have your own private view. It beat standing in the crowds in Oia to be honest which we did the next day. It's a beautifully set out room designed like a cave. The outdoor space is shady in the mornings and also had a view - a lovely thing to have what with the crazy hot sun in peak season. Breakfast was brought to us in the shady covered part of the outside space that came with our room. It was homemade and delicious and healthy. Loved it. If you're looking for a quieter stay on Santorini then on the top of the hill in Pyrgos is where you should go for views and peace and a pool. The buses were not hard to navigate to get to the rest of the island and they go on well past sunset. Feeling relaxed in the mornings and evenings and doing some sightseeing in the day was what I wanted and it was made very comfortable by this stay. Highly recommend.

It was one of the most unique places we have stayed with the indoor pool with all the modern facilities Our hosts Dimitris and Gaida were amazing - friendly, helpful and their knowledge of the area made our stay special, along with the homemade breakfast which was a fantastic way to start the day

We came to Aethra for our honeymoon, and we absolutely loved it! We knew it was a unique place from the pictures, but our expectations were exceeded when we arrived and saw the location. The hosts were so warm and welcoming: we feel like they became our friends. They graciously answered all our questions and gave us many ideas of places to see and food to try. We were served a delicious vegan breakfast every morning by our hostess Giada. The recipes were ones she created, and the presentation of the food was exquisite. We also really enjoyed chatting with her and getting to know her. We loved the private setting, away from the main touristy towns on Santorini. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset view from the upstairs balcony as well. We can't recommend staying here enough!

We truly can't think of anything we didn't like, except for the fact that we couldn't stay longer. It was the perfect getaway, and we would love to return someday.

We liked many things. We had extremely nice and helpful hosts. The place is beautiful and very clean. The view from the pool was heavenly. And the breakfast looked great and tasted even better. All in all, would definitely recommend this place.

This accommodation is an absolute dream. Although the photos are already very promising, they do not do justice to the reality. Our expectations were greatly exceeded, and we were in awe the entire time. We booked the larger Cave Suite, which was wonderfully spacious, perfectly equipped, and generously appointed. Every detail reflected a deep love for design. The interior of this suite is outstanding. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the pool is a dream. All of this alone would be worth 10 points, but it was surpassed by the service and the incredibly kind host, Giada. We had not only the best breakfast of our trip but also experienced the best service. The hosts were always accessible, constantly helpful, and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this accommodation to everyone, as you can feel the love not only in the design but also in the food and service. A huge thank you for this unforgettable experience.

This was an amazing stay and property! We visited during a portion of our honeymoon in which we also did some island hopping. Sadly, our stay was short and in hindsight, we should have booked a longer reservation. The suites were stunning and as someone else alluded, the pictures can’t fully convey the experience of it all versus in person. The overall design elements and well-thought decor selections set this property in a league of its own. Also, brand new and in a wonderful location. Our favorite feature was the in-suite heated pool with a postcard view of the island and caldera. The vegan breakfast was also very tasty. Giada and Dimitris were wonderful host and even were able to assist us after a ferry scheduling snafu had unfortunately severely delayed our arrival. Hope to visit again in the future!

Giada & Dimitris went above & beyond to make our stay an unforgettable experience.The villa itself is a haven of comfort & style with amazing aesthetics.From the heated indoor pool with breathtaking view to the DELICIOUS vegan breakfast Giada prepared for us every morning,every detail had been carefully considered to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience.Beyond the comforts of the villa, its location is a major plus- Pyrgos village is one of the gems of the island.
