Gerards Home stay Fortkochi

The location is excellent and is definitely value for money. But more than that I found Mr. Gerard and his wife to be lovely hosts and we would love to stay with them again. The place was exceptionally clean and well organized. Mr. Gerard also gave us very helpful tips related to travelling in Kerala.

I think it would be nice to have an AC. I didn't check for AC (or maybe my plan didn't include it) since we didn't need it at this time of the year, but maybe better to check with Mr. Gerard if you need it.

Extremely clean and well-maintained property with lots of beautiful plants. Good value for money. Helpful,welcoming and friendly hosts. Quiet and peaceful location, still able to walk to all the sights of Fort Kochin. It was a nice touch to have hangers and places to hang out clothes in the room. The kettle and complimentary tea and coffee in the common area was also welcome. Thanks 🙏

We booked the budget double room and the private bathroom was not attached, rather you had to walk through a living space to get to it. This wasn't 100% clear when booking. I prefer things to be clear. I would also have preferred that it was made completely obvious that the water in kitchen in the container was not drinking winter. Everything was good apart from that and these are details that can easily be solved.

The location is perfect, about 10 minutes walk from Fort Kochi beach and most of the main attractions are within an easy walk. Gerard and Joyson are the perfect hosts with lots of useful information about the area and will help to arrange trips and taxis if you need it

The hosts were super kind and helped us by giving tips what to see and where to go. They went the extra mile when we got a bit sick and brought us lovely teas. The location is quiet and tucked away, but stil close to eateries. A great place to stay, highly recommended!

Lots of mosquitos and there is no fridge.

Super clean, great new pillows, communal balcony and most of all the hosts.

It seems so trivial but the synthetic towels don’t absorb a drop.

Awesome place, very green, run by a very beautiful family. The place is very central, close to everything, yet in a very peaceful area. You won't hear any cars or auto-rickshaws honking. They also have two cute dogs 🥰 I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I will definitely be back. Also to be mentioned, the amazing value for money. What else could you ask for?

It was a great stay at Gerards place. My parents and I enjoyed our time. I got my stomach upset in Kochi and the Gerards family was so helpful. They gave me ginger lemon two times and Gerard brought medicine for me and he even didn’t take the money for medicine. The hospitality was remarkable. I will highly recommend everyone to experience this level of hospitality when you are in Kochi.

There’s nothing that I didn’t like but as its an homestay, I was expecting breakfast or sometimes a choice of dinner after a tiring day. If you need breakfast, please communicate before hand with Gerard.

The hosts were very nice and helped with organzing bus ticket and a beautiful city walk in the morning. Rooms are very clean. Highly recommended!

The room was an oasis to come back to from the heat outside. Very, very clean and uncluttered. The hosts were friendly, helpful and the place felt very safe. Location was very good. Know where I'll stay if I visit Cochin again.
