Plenty of space

House very old with facilities somewhat basic and worn

Based on the reviews we thought the cottage would be clean and quaint. When we arrived we were surprised to see that it had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival. The kitchen was not clean, I had to vacuum and wipe down the surfaces. There was dust on the coffee table. We contacted the host and she was very defensive. Unfortunately we would not recommend the Braes, but hopefully ours was an isolated experience. Good location, close to stornoway.

Driveway a bit hard, but nothing major

The house was fabulous and equipped with absolutely everything. Kareen ensured we had directions and lock box number well in time before our arrival. The house was spacious and the furniture very comfortable, plus a garden and picnic table
