Peacock Lake Villa

If I could I would give 6 stars! We stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing time here. Very spacious room, very clean, shower with hot water and all the amenities you would need. Lovely terrace with view on a lake. The garden is beautiful. The owner is such a friendly person. He wants to help you with everything. For us this place in habarena was a perfect stop to visit Polonaruwa, Sigiriya and Minneriya National Park. We did a safari tour with his brother and it was a lovely experience. He took his time to do the tour and we could see so many elephants and other animals. The breakfast was typical sri lankan and very good. I hope to come back once at this lovely place. Can't recommend enough!

The room is huge, beautifully finished in warm colors, the bed is really comfy, the bed and bath linens are high quality, everything works and is new. There's plenty of storage space for luggage, a clothing rack, table and stool. You can watch the wild peacocks, and other wildlife from the bed through the huge picture window-it is an incredibly peaceful and quiet atmosphere, and there's also a covered patio with seating to relax. The AC is strong, there is good water pressure and very hot water on demand. The wifi works great. There's a kettle, tea, and coffee in the room. The hosts, Prasanna and his wife, are just as lovely as can be and very helpful (even flagging down a bus for us). The breakfast is delicious and you can choose Sri Lankan or western (we had the Sri Lankan breakfast and is was filling and varied). We also ate dinner there, which was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about Peacock Lake Villa, I would rate it 100 if possible. I didn't want to leave. I highly recommend.

There is nothing at all to dislike. If I have to make any suggestion, the only thing that would make it even more perfect would be a small refrigerator. It really is the nicest place we've stayed in Sri Lanka.

Everything was fantastic and as described here. The room was spacious and pristine, with a nice view into nature, including peacocks walking around. The owner was really helpful at all times, gave us nice recommendations for the surrounding area and helped us with the buses for our day trips as well as when continuing our journey. The location of the place was nice as well, in a calm area but still in walking distance to the center of Habarana. All in all, I'd definitely recommend staying here!

We had such a nice stay here, it was a very comfortable and beautiful room that backs onto a lake. Had peacocks and cows in the yard which was cool. Host was very accomodating and helped us with anything we needed, even hailing a bus down for us to get to Kandy! Highly reccomend staying here :)

Everything. Very nice and helpful person, clean and big rooms, well equiped (just 1 room does not have AC, but with the roof fan it was OK). Nice terraces viewing the trees with a lake behind. Could serve us 4 a nice khottu for dinner, and all that for a very cheap price

He didn't propose anything to drink (apart from water) before dinner.

Un établissement absolument charmant avec une très belle chambre, un magnifique jardin, un hôte toujours très attentionné et prêt à vous aider et un très bon petit-déjeuner différent chaque matin! Un rapport qualité-prix inimaginable!!!

Could not say enough good things about this place. The nicest host who will help you arrange anything you would like to do. His brother has a jeep and took us on an elephant safari for way less than booking online. The food is delicious. We ate breakfast and dinner here every night and they accommodated my vegetarian preferences. The lake around the house is amazing to explore we saw so many birds. The mattresses is comfortable and the ac works well. 100000/10 would stay here again and recommend it to any of my family or friends who come to Sri Lanka.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The best hostel in Sri Lanka. 🌿 The location is simply magical: stunning views of a lake with cows passing by—it’s like a postcard! The room is huge, very clean, and beautifully decorated, with a giant window that lets you enjoy the scenery from the bed. The air conditioning works perfectly. Breakfast is delicious, all homemade and typical of the area, and the kitchen in general is amazing. We also tried dinner, and it was excellent. The owner is wonderful, always making sure you have everything you need and making you feel at home from the very first moment. An unforgettable experience—I would come back in a heartbeat!
