Peacock Lake Villa

Amazing place, ideally located to go to safaris. The lake next to the property is magnificent. The hosts are among the kindest people we've met in Sri Lanka. The breakfast that they provide is excellent.

The property is simply amazing. Recently renovated. It seems like a boutique resort. You have a nature reserve type space in the backyard. From the porch we saw peacocks, cows, mongooses, lots of birds and the occasionally have elephants. Just go! Stop looking. It’s the best one. Oh and breakfast is delicious and included. And the owner is very helpful. He arranged an elephant safari, tuk tuk transportation and lots of travel tips

Host is super nice and there to help you. Generous breakfast included, with juice and coffee. Great location, close to city and sightseeing spots. There is a great view from the room, and a quiet terrace for relaxation.

Stayed end of June, solo traveler from France. The staff were good. Everything was clean. Nice setting. Good to have mosquito net around bed. Spacious. Private. Comfortable bed. I'm not sure if I booked for aircon, but they gave it to me anyway. Breakfast was very nice! - I went for sunrise hikes and came back for it. Lovely to talk to owner. Everything provided as in description.

Insects, but i spoke with owner and he said he'll take care of it. This also seems to be something unpreventable in most places I have stayed in that are more 'in nature'. Shower a little weak.

Best hospitality in my entire time traveling sri lanka. Amazing nature, delicious breakfast, peace and quiet. Stay here if you want to enjoy your life. 🥰🙏🌿

By the roadside and easy to reach.

The atmosphere of this lovely place is so peaceful and comfortable. It is the most beautiful place, where you wake up with the sight of dogs, birds and peacock in the lush garden. I had a wonderful stay here, and the owner Prasanna with his wife Wasantha are such kind people. He even gave me a bottle of fresh pressed cononut oil, a gesture I appreciated highly. The breakfast is also super good. This place is a gem and I recommend it highly!:)

Stay was very clean, safe and quiet place to relax. Early morning peacocks were usual everyday. If your lucky you can see peacock dancing😊 , if more lucky can see elephants during night time in owners paddy land or in lake. I will recommend to hire a bike from the place to Sigiria, travel via jungle to sigiria. It will be more adventures and thrilling while returning from sigiria to room after sunset( darkness + Jungle). Villa owners dinner and breakfast taste was awesome must try during stay. Villa staffs were more friendly, helping and comfortable. They will guide for exploring nearby locations. Actually I planned to stay for 1 day but got extended to 3 days. Overall very happy and satisfied for the stay.

Clean, comfy, in nature and the view is mesmerising

We stayed at this villa on February 12th, 2025, and our experience was exceptional for several reasons. The villa was very clean, and the washroom was excellent. The property boasts stunning natural beauty, with a lagoon, birds, and a lush garden surrounded by trees. Breakfast was superb, with instant cooking and authentic food. We were able to request any dishes we desired. Customer service was outstanding, as the owner personally operated the villa. The compound is secure, and we felt completely safe throughout our stay. I’m looking forward to returning soon and highly recommend this place to everyone.
