Batur Exotic Villa

Once the owners realized we wanted to leave, they tried to save the situation. However, it was too late already.

The amount of flies in Kintamani is unbearable. This is not an issue of the accommodation, but generally of this area. As mentioned before, the road to the hotel is horrible. We felt sorry for the taxi driver. Nothing, what the owners can do about. However and unfortunately, the owners were not prepared for our stay at all. When we arrived, we were given dirty (with animal feces) room with unmade and dirty bed. We asked for a different room and we were granted. This one, however, could not have been locked and the key did not work. Also, we were promised lots of things. It would be cooked for us. There was noone at the property at the time. We were only drove by the housekeeper to the main road to feed ourselves in warung, where we did not eat due to the excessive amount of flies. We had to go to the supermarket. The biggest disappointment was that we were promised in advance to get English speaking guide for Mt. Batur tour. Instead, the guy did not speak well-English. He was using cell phone for translation, so in the end we had to cancel the tour. Together due to the flies issue and unreadiness from the accommodation, we did not spend here more than 4 hours, we left to somewhere else and we did not stay a night here.

The Location was perfect for me right at the Bottom of Mount Batur giving me a special experience 😍 -The Bathroom was massive, so much space, I loved the tiling job, clean and tasteful ! -Room was big, I felt so privileged with view on both lake and local fields. -Breakfast was simple yet yummy, I am so grateful for the owners responsiveness, I didn’t want to rush them for breakfast but ended up making my request for brekkie last minute as I suddenly decided I was going to walk to Mount Batur 😅 They made my breakfast in no time 😎 -The owners are very nice and accommodating -They let me use the shower after I did my trek even though I already checked out and they kindly offered without me even asking -They arranged my car trip to Ubud for 350000rp -Very good quality for price -Lovely landscape all over the property, no matter what room you’re getting you are assured to have a stunning view on something naturally beautiful ! 😌💕 - I loved the vibes - Short walk to The Natural Hotsprings - I slept like a baby, was so comfy and peaceful that I canceled my 3am walked to Mount Batur and delayed to 8am 😅 - Owners have the project to do more rooms and build a swimming pool

-I can only talk about suggestions for improvement but there’s nothing I didn’t like about the property. Maybe that would be good to give water bottles in the room -As you are a business owned family I would highly encourage you to print documents of services that you offer with prices ( like trek to Mt Batur, transport, etc) only to help you to get your customers to book all their stuff through you and not go with other company 🥹🥰 -The paint on the wall on a little area was coming off but no drama really - For those who are worried about flies PLEASE don’t blame the owners, there are flies everywhere from Katamini to Mount Batur as there are farms around 😇

Beautiful views, walking distance to mountain hiking, spacious room and bathroom. Most of all, very accommodating and hospital staff.

Quiet, clean, large room, beautiful view

The accommodation is immaculately clean and new! The staff were extremely helpful and will do anything to make your stay perfect. There is a menu you can order good quality food from - would recommend the fried noodles! The staff can also arrange trekking/ jeeps/ taxis easily for you with no hassle. It is easy to communicate with staff at the villa via WhatsApp before your stay - they reply to messages very quickly! Bed is very comfy! We would definitely recommend this accommodation!

The only thing to be aware of is that the road is quite bad to get to the accommodation. Our taxi could get there but other cars may struggle.

The bathroom was infested with ants and the road to get to the villa was rough

You can start climbing mount Batur right from your bedroom. Very hot water and strong water stream in shower.

Extremely cold after sunset, but that has nothing to do with the guesthouse. If you have any warm clothes, you'd better take it all with you ;)

Staff was so friendly and helpful. At arrival we got some freshly made pisang goreng which was so good! The room was clean and comfy. Views were beautiful as well!

We couldn’t reach it by car (as our car couldn’t get up the hill) for the rest all was great! We could park the car downhill and the staff helped us with our luggage
