Batur Exotic Villa

Great view. Aditya was the only member of staff (we were the only guests) and he was absolutely delightful. He was also our guide for the sunrise trek and is highly recommended. He was thoughtful and took us to great photo spots away from the crowds and he takes excellent photos and videos. Also recommend going to Cinze hot spring at sunset/dusk. No flies, and we had it to ourselves!

Flies were full on, as they are all around the area. But go away at sunset and tend not to be in your face so not as annoying as Australian flies.

Great view, friendly staff, offered a guide for mount batur walk and he was great, spoke good English and knew the area very well.

Éloigné de tout : la route pour atteindre l hôtel est très mauvaise et très en pente. Perso je ne tenterai ni en scooter ni en conduisant la voiture. L hôtel est quasi au bout de la route. Minimum 10 minutes pour arriver en bas en voiture. Et ensuite encore un peu de route pour trouver un resto ou warning. Et…. des mouches. Beaucoup de mouches ! Ils mettent une 20 aine de pastilles dans la chambre pour les tuer mais du coup très forte odeur de produit chimique. On a préféré les retirer.

Location right at the start of the hike to Mount Batur, so great for a hike. Breakfast is very good. The owner is also very friendly. The villas are quite new and have a great lake view. You can also order lunch and dinner from the owner, if you don’t want to walk down to the village.

The location is a bit remote on top of a hill, therefore you have a great view but also need to walk 20-30 mins up or down to the village. For sportive people or if you have a scooter it’s no big issue though.
