Beautiful room, fully equipped

A great place to stay so comfortable has everything you could need. The owners were also super friendly and nice, always smiling and happy to help. Definitely recommend!

It was such a good and warm experience At Art house . The owners were so welcoming and warm hearted people. Gave us sweets too as it was there festival that day.Loved the place.but the balcony area is quite good.

Room was a lil small .It could have been a lil bigger.

Chamee & Suranda are the sweetest and most generous people I've met. They are very respectful and helpful. After a long travel I was warmly welcomed with a limejuice and had lots of laughs and good conversations. This continued as I stayed. Chamee would drive me around in his TukTuk whenever I needed to. They invited me and my friends to have dinner with them, which was outstanding! When they found out I love singing, they also invited family over to have a karaoke/music night. I felt so much joy and love.. I remember this forever. The place is near the road, but rooms are very quiet and I slept like a rose. Art House is also just a few minutes walking to the beach and a 20 min walk to Hiritekya. The rooms are very clean and I love the atmosphere. Chamee & Suranda thank you so much and hope to see you next time when I visit Sri Lanka.

Working wifi, totally clean room, working AC, super kind owners. Before this accommodation we stayed in 7 different houses and this one was really the best one. Thank you for all, especially for your smiles 🙂

The hosts were super friendly and helping. They have made our stay even better. Other than that, it was a nice and comfortable room.

The street is quite noisy. It’s not attractive to sit outside on the balcony, or sleep with an open window.

-very loud, because it’s located directly at the big street - when it rained very heavy water came once to the room from the roof, but it got fixed very quickly

The property was absolutely stunning! Honestly the best stay I had in Sri Lanka and when I visit again I am 100% coming back. The hosts were incredible and very talented artists. It is a shame I couldn’t take one of their pieces home with me, they were beautiful. The beach is a short walk from here with beautiful sunsets. Thank you so much for providing me with such a wonderful stay.

The host picked us up from the train station. The room and bed linen were clean

The road noise makes it impossible to relax. The noise continues well into the night and early hours of the morning. There is NO garden view just plant hangers and a plastic screen blocking your view of the busy highway. The web site showed visitors enjoying breakfast on the balcony- this would be impossible 1. The traffic noise and car fumes 2. I was told that the cook was not there anymore. I also booked because on the website as it stated the room had two beds. There was only room to fit one large double which took up all the floor space. The location is near the beach however you will need to walk up further to a safer swimming surf which takes around 15 minutes ( this wasn’t an issue). After a sleepless night we checked out a day early (7am) as I couldn’t stay another moment there. When I explained to the host his only response was to ask me to change the booking on booking.com

I had a wonderful stay at the Art House. The owners are so welcoming and lovely, awaiting me with some lime juice and even organised a private Transfer to my next accommodation in Ella at a very fair price. I loved the room and little balcony and felt very much at home. The place is just across the road from Dikwella beach (the more quiet end), which I actually found nicer than the small and busy Hiriketiya Beach as it‘s more relaxed and better for Swimming. Like everywhere it can get a little noisy at times due to the main road traffic, which did not disturb me. Can highly recommend staying at this homestay!
