Art House

We had an amazing stay at Art House - by FAR our favourite stay in Sri Lanka! Really clean and modern room/balcony. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and make a delicious breakfast!

Our stay at the Art House was very pleasant. The accomodation was very modern, clean, equipped with everything you need and surrounded by many beautiful plants. The Hosts are very friendly and recommended good dinner places to us. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for everything and all the best for you.

Everything! The best accommodation we have had in Sri Lanka so far! The room was beautiful and the balcony very cosy. The owners are just the sweetest and do everything to make your stay great. The food they made was also really good.

Lack of AC was a bit of an issue as the fan was only very small.

The interior is charming, the hosts are incredibly kind and friendly, and Hiriketiya Beach is conveniently close by. Additionally, the breakfast is reasonably priced, ranging between 1000 and 1400.

Breathing was incredibly challenging due to the lack of air conditioning and only one fan in the room. However, when we expressed our concern, we were promptly provided with a second fan. As others have mentioned, the location near the main street makes it very loud.

Amazing hostility. We felt very welcome and safe. Cleanest stay I had in more than half a year in Asia. They help you with everything you need. Would definitely come back.

Lovely small apartment with everything you need for a few days at the beach! Huge comfy bed, fridge, balcony and very clean. The hosts are fantastic and provided a lovely breakfast, and even drove us to our next destination in his massive Tuk Tuk! You can walk to Dikwella beach (literally 10 steps) or cheap tuk tuk to Hiritikya. Highly recommend!

There isn’t any aircon but the did provide us with an extra fan which is lovely! It is by the main road so if you sleep with the doors open it can be loud, but with the 2 fans you don’t need to!

We loved our stay, the hosts were super nice, the room was beautiful and the bathroom was the cleanest we’ve seen in Sri Lanka. :) It’s very close to the beaches. Also there was a mosquito net and a fridge in the room so that was nice. We loved the plants everywhere. Great value for the price.

We would appreciate AC as it was very hot the first night, the second night was a little bit colder and it was okay with fan and open balcony.

- Since there is no AC in the room, it became a bit stuffy in the room during the night - the house is located at the main road, as long as the door is closed it´s fine, but with open balcony door it can become intense. But maybe it´s just me being sensible ;)
