Art House

A really nice couple and great hosts. Beautifully decorated and clean room with a balcony, the food is amazing. Couldn't have asked for anything more for the price. Also a little shop below and a small gallery, their art is very good. I would stay again.

I had an exceptional two-week stay at "Art House". The lovely artist couple who is running the gallery were incredibly kind, tending to all my needs. The well-equipped room, more satisfying bathroom, and highly recommended cooking showcased their artistic touch. The ambiance, adorned with plants and pictures, created a pleasant atmosphere. The comfortable bed and cozy balcony, just a minute from the beach, made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for a unique and delightful stay in Sri Lanka. Throughout my stay in dikwella for over a month I stayed in jungle villas, beachfront houses but would prefer to stay at the Art House whenever I come back. The room was cleaned everyday and coming back after hours of an early morning surf was just always pure bliss! The hosts can cater to your every needs and are very invested that you have a man exceptional time! Extremely kind people!

Again, a wonderful stay at the Art House. Very clean room with nice balcony. Fantastic breakfast and super friendly hosts! In addition the option have a yummy diner. We will be be back some time for sure.

This was the most beautiful stay we have had in sri lanka. The house is so romantic and good looking. Also the room is really clean and good looking. Cleanest bathroom in have seen in sri lanka. The hosts are such nice people and the woman makes wonderful art at her gallery.

Must say there are no downsides. The street is a little noisy but we still slept really good in the bed. An airco could be a nice addition but the fan in the room did great work cooling us down!

Beautiful rooms, hot shower, spotlessly clean (which is especially hard given proximity to the beach) But mainly, we just love the couple that run it They are so incredibly kind and helpful.

Even if we stay just one night you can feel the love that this family puts in their homestay. The room is well equipped and well decorated ( she is an amazing artist), very comfortable and full of lovely plants and the breakfast was delicious. The locations is close to the city by 10 minutes walk and same is the beach. He even brought us to Ella with the tuk tuk and was a niiice journey! Thanks for everything:)

A spacious room with a modern artsy feel, we loved the interior and that they had personalised it so well. It sits above the owners art studio - they are very talented!! We are also plant lovers and there are so many gorgeous ones! The hosts are super welcoming and we are so glad we stayed here, they offered breakfast/dinner too which we now regret not taking! Very clean and tidy, comfy bed, WiFi box in the room so works very well, good balcony space and a decent bathroom/shower. Less than a 5 minute walk to a few restaurants at the beach. We were so pleased with this price of this place we couldn't believe the value with it being so close to Hiriketiya where others are charging so much more for less. Good parking space for our tuktuk. Thank you for a lovely nights stay 🫶

As some other reviews had mentioned it was quite warm at night but there is a good fan which helps. You can also hear the road noise but it didn't take away from our stay and I still slept well so left happy.

It’s such a cute little place and the owners are the absolute sweetest. They were so helpful and always smiling. The place was very cozy, clean, and peaceful. We actually enjoyed Dickwella beach more than the popular Hiriketiya beach.

The only thing was that restaurants were a little bit far away but a short tuktuk ride solves that
