"Lovely stay"

8.0

It's was lovely and clean. Everything you could need for your stay. Perfect location for town. Host was great with communication. Highly recommended.

The single beds were not very comfy. The neighbours upstairs were noisy the first night but we spoke to them the next day and they apologised. Didn't really hear them again.

"Pleasant but taxis !"

It was clean and stylish

The sofa was too small to accommodate the four people the flat sleeps . The name central flat is deceiving.

"Lovely flat but unacceptable neighbours"

3.0

The property was well equipped and other then the leaking shower screen was in good condition.

I’m sorry, it’s not the host’s fault but the upstairs neighbours were unacceptably loud/antisocial. Arguments, shouting, kids and pets running around from before 6am. Serious sound proofing needed. Really disrupted sleep.

"Booked for 5 nights, so bad we left after 1."

1.0

The flat smells damp and musty as you walk in, and feels depressing. At some point in the past a reasonable amount was spent on renovations but the details have not been thought through for comfort or convenience. The mattresses are old and uncomfortable; coupled with the boiler in the twin bedroom, which I think might be for the whole house, making a continual noise through the night, I found it impossible to sleep. There is also a lot of noise from the floor above (at least one child and dog rushing around on uncarpeted floors). On-street parking is a nightmare; if you are lucky enough to find a gap the owner has supplied two parking permits - which clearly state they are each for one day only and any alterations would result in a fine, yet the instructions in the flat were to erase the day and date and re-use them. This area of Plymouth is a tangle of busy dual carriageways, large junctions and roundabouts. This is definitely one of the seedier areas of the city, no pubs or restaurants I would consider using, a rip-off convenience store down the road and across the nearest dual carriageway a shopping centre that seems to be mainly tattoo parlours, barbers etc. To walk to any point of interest involves unprepossessing roads and probable encounters with at least one alcoholic. It's well over a mile to anywhere in Plymouth you'd want to be for the evening, and I wouldn't recommend walking back. I only booked it as it was the last property left in our budget after our original booking in a Barbican apartment was cancelled on us at the last minute. I wish I hadn't bothered.
