MayFair Hotel Maitama Abuja

The only good thing about this hotel is the location..everything else is a scam.

The shittiest Hotel I have been in Abuja so far. Would give it a minus 5star.. The rooms are tired, the service staff do exactly the opposite of what you request..I have seen guests storm out mid conversation everyday beacause someone did something appalling...I will never recommend this place to anyone ever..no value for money whatsoever

Breakfast was one of only two options every day. The same options daily. It's the first hotel I have been in in my 25 years of travelling internationally where tea or coffee for breakfast attracts an extra charge, even when the client has booked for bed and breakfast. The staff is unknowledgeable about many basic things, hence mostly unhelpful. Although the hotel advertises that there is a gym, there is no gym; the supposedly gymn equipment is in a small store and not used or usable. Although the food is good, its the same menu daily. Not much variety. Surprisingly, the hotel is not branded. There is no signpost to show the hotel exists either at the main entrance or anywhere on the premises. The wifi goes off sometimes for half the day, and there is no explanation why that's the case. There is no single day when wifi didn't go off for hours.

The rate if you booked directly was much cheaper in local currency. I was ripped off

Good location

Overpriced facility. Light kept going on and off throughout my stay. They didn't have most of the items on the menu. Breakfast was too basic for the price charged. When they bring food, the food is not in a tray. No cup comes with food. When I asked once, I was given plastic cup. Very terrible.
